When I wake up, my body is healed. I'm as strong as ever. Training with my mom goes smoothly. Well up until she started talking about that fight yesterday. "You were the first one there," she scoulds. "And you are not currently allowed out of this house. Want to explain that?"
"I'm grown. And I was just checking to see if Hop was there, I never managed to get him home the day before."
"Aura. Yesterday you fought in a battle that people died in, and the day before you passed out in a police station after witnessing yet another murder. You are always in the wrong place at the wrong time recently. And with your Fallen side obviously pl-"
"No way," I complain. "There's no way you think I have a part in all of this!"
"You are always there when someone dies Aura. I'm not saying you're doing it, or that you know you're doing it, but-"
"I'M NOT KILLING ANYBODY!" I scream, slamming my arms down at my desk. My wings shoot out of my back as I do so, knocking stuff over onto the floor.
My mom flinches in response, "Aura, I-"
"No, no I'm not doing this. I'm going to stay with the Lupine's for a while. I'm not going to sit here while my mom blames me for murders I didn't commit," I spit out, quickly standing up. I try to focus on tucking my wings in, but they still knock some stuff over as I walk out of her office.
I rush upstairs and grab an empty bag. Shoving it full of everything I would need to survive for the next week. My wings slowly tuck back into my back, which makes it easier to move around.
I all but sprint to the Lupines, and knock on the door in a hurried rush. Clementine's father opens the door and my eyes widen in shock. He was almost never here. Actually I hadn't really seen either of their parents here much.
"Who are you?" he says, eyeing me suspisciously. I still had small scrapes across my skin, my hair was a whole entire mess, and I was in my pajamas, I realize. This is the best way to introduce myself to Cash's dad. With bags in my hand and everything.
"Um, I'm Aura. Clementine's best friend," I stutter out.
"Oh Aurilyn," their mother says from behind their dad. "Now's not the best time. We have a lot going on right now. I'm sorry love." Her voice was sweet, comparable to the sound of a beautiful song bird. She smiled at me sadly.
"That's okay," I say with a smile. "I'll see you guys later." I turn around quickly, ready to disappear.
The door slams shut behind me. "Little A," Cash's voice greets emotionlessly. I jump in shock. Of course Cash was outside. He leaned against the corner of his house, seemingly bored.
I walk over to him quitely. "Everything okay?" I ask.
"Eh," he shrugs. "Just the usual. Are you okay?" he says eyeing me up and down. "You look like a rabid raccon that barely escaped a wolf," he chuckles dryly.
"Gee thanks. I'm running away from home because my mom thinks I'm a serial killer, so I'm suprised I don't look worse."
"And you came here why?"
"I didn't know where else to go," I mumble.
"It's not safe for you here Aura," Cash whispers. He drops my bags and weapons and my feet. "You can not come back here, do you understand?"
"W-what?" I stutter.
"If you know what's best for you, you won't ever talk to me, Clementine, or even you're little boyfriend again. Go away, and stay away," he hisses. His voice skill remained quiet.
