Ch.0018

Brooke knew how she was struggling with losing her dad. She knew that things weren't easy at all.

She knew that her mum wanted to make things right. But she was unsure on that. She didn't know if she could given all that had happened.

She was glad her mum was okay. That she was alive. But she didn't know if things could go back to how they used to be.

She needed to somehow make things work out for her. She wanted to focus on Freddie and making their relationship work.

Freddie was the only normal thing that she had in life. And she wanted to keep it. He was the best thing she had. And she couldn't lose him.

Brooke knew that living with Lexie was best for her. Especially as she knew that Lexie didn't pressure her. Or expect anything from her.

She knew Sam wanted her to move back. But she couldn't. Not yet. She didn't feel ready to be there. Things were hard for her.

And it was going to be hard living in the same house where her dad had once lived.

All she knew was that her life was sort of on the right track. And she was going to do all she could to keep it that way.

When she woke she saw some texts from Freddie. He wanted her to stay with him. She text him back telling him to clean his room.

She climbed out of bed and saw Lexie sitting on the sofa. She smiled. "Hi. So I'm obviously your favourite sister. Can I stay at Freddie's tonight please? I promise I'll do all your shopping for a month."

Lexie rolled her eyes. "I'm not your mum Brooke. You don't have to ask me. All I ask is that you tell me that you're not coming back or whatnot," she said.

Brooke nodded. She smiled. "Where's Warren? I thought he would be here."

"He's gone to London on some business. Dodgy business if you ask me," Lexie mumbled.

Brooke smiled. She knew how she wanted her sister to be happy. But she could tell that there was something more going on.

Brooke looked to her sister. She smiled. "I'm going to see mum today. If you wanna come with?" She asked.

Lexie shook her head. "I'm staying in today babes. You go though," she said.

"Okay."

Brooke walked into her mum's house. She saw her sitting on the sofa. "Hi mum. How are you?" She asked.

"I'm okay. It is weird being back here without your dad. But I'm okay. I have Peri and Leela," Sam said.

Brooke sighed. "You've got me and Lexie to mum. Just cause I'm not living here with you, doesn't mean I don't love you," she said.

Sam smiled. "I know. I wish you'd move back here. But I understand you're happy with Lexie."

Brooke didn't know what had come over her mum. But she knew it was clear she was trying to make things right.

Freddie pulled Brooke into his room. She looked to him and smiled. "I've missed you."

"I saw you only two days ago," Freddie said as he kissed her neck. He looked to her. "I'm thinking about getting my own place. Want to help me?"

Brooke looked to him. She smiled. "I'll help you."

"Maybe we can talk about you moving in with me too?" He asked as he looked to her.

But was Brooke ready to take this next step in her relationship with Freddie?
