After they had gotten properly dressed, they let Dell stay for breakfast. "Thank y'all for the hospitality. I do love me some bacon." Caroline nodded, then turned, "Thank you for cooking, Micky." The tension Mick had been holding melted a little and he took her hand, "Of course, Lynn.", "So," Dell started, "When are y'all gettin' married?" They both shrugged and Dell nodded, scooping up another fork-full of fluffy eggs, "Well when y'all figure it out, I'll be your best man Micky-" Mick flipped Dell's hat over his head, "Don't call me that- and what makes you think I need a best man?" Dell retrieved his hat and asked, "What do you mean?" Mick looked to Caroline who said, "Uh- We don't really have the time to plan a wedding, so we were just gonna go up to the courthouse." Not missing a beat Dell amended, "I'll be your witness then," Mick raised an eyebrow at him, "You really want to?", "Of course, we're pals." Mick thought about that for a long moment, then he got a crazy idea. He turned to Caroline and said, "I mean, we could do it today if you'd like?" Momentarily shocked, Caroline really considered the idea, and then she smiled, "And make our dating anniversary into a real one? I think that is just too perfect." He smiled and kissed her on the temple, "Alright love, then I guess I'd better get dressed." Caroline's eyes went wide, "Oh shit! I gotta find something to wear! I don't have anything white!", "You don't need to wear white darlin'-" Caronline scrambled out of the chair, "It's nine o'clock right now, the courthouse closes at sixteen hundred. That gives us- uh, less than seven hours to get ready! I'll see if I can find something decent, and then there's flowers, and cake and- Ooh, there's so much to do-" Mick stood up and caught her by the shoulders, "Caroline! Darlin' calm down. If this is gonna stress you out too much, let's just plan for another day..." She took a few steadying breaths, "I'm okay... I'm okay, I'm just excited." Mick chuckled, "I know, but I also know how you get yourself all worked up." She took in another deep breath and let it out, "I know. I know- But I'm calm. I'll be alright... Now go! Go, go go! Wait- you left your van, do you need a ride?" Dell stood up and clapped Mick on the back, "No worries, I'll drive him back, you just do what you got to do." She gave him a thankful smile before planting a kiss on Mick's cheek, "I'll meet you there, alright?" In response, he kissed her forehead, "Of course. Fifteen hundred, sharp.", "It's a date then." He flashed her a smile and with that, Mick left with Dell out of the newly fixed door. Caroline started making a plan in her head of everything she had to do to get ready. She had just gotten off the phone with the courthouse when there was a knock on the door. She really didn't really have time, but she opened the door anyway and Spy looked down at her, "I'm cashing in my favor. Where is your fiancé?" Caroline narrowed her eyes at him, "He left. We're getting married today.", "I know. I'm going to be his best man." Caroline paused, but then shook her head and grabbed her purse, "Too late, Dell beat you to it- Well, he's our witness.", "Then I am your second witness." She paused again, but Spy was already moving out, "What are you standing there for? Come on, there's work to do!" Caroline was caught way off guard, but she really didn't have time to think about it, so she just followed behind.
