"Stop twitchin'. You're gonna make me nervous." Dell said as he stood beside a very twitchy Mick Mundy, "It's 14:55. We're early, it's fine... But, Caroline always makes a point to be early, where is she? What if she's not comin'? What if she decided this was all a terrible idea? What if-" Dell grabbed Mick by his shoulders and shook him, "Get ahold of yourself!", "I don't know, Dell. Maybe this is a bad idea after all.", "You're just sykin' yourself out. Calm down, she'll be here. In fact, that's probably her now-" Mick pushed Dell off him and smoothed his shirt down as he watched the red car drive up to them. This is it, this is it, this is it, this is- "What the-?" Spy stepped out of his Bizzarrini and looked between the two of them, "Gentlemen,", "Spy, what the bloody hell are you doin' here?", "The better question is what the hell are you doing in jeans? You're getting married, not wrestling a crocodile! For God's sake..." Spy lit a cigarette as Mick looked down at his outfit. He thought he looked pretty nice, but he supposed compared to Spy he looked rather shabby. From beside him, also in his pair of nice jeans, Dell rolled his eyes, "Quit your bellyachin', he looks fine. Why are you here?" Spy raised an unimpressed eyebrow at him before saying, "I was going to be ol' Micky-boy's best man, but he wasn't home, so I was Caroline's instead." Mick gawked at him, "You were with Caroline all day-", "Shht. She's here." They watched as a red Vauxhall turned off the street and into the parking lot. Mick's adrenaline spiked more than it ever had when he literally killed people, and Spy put out his cigarette to touch up Mick's hair as she was driving in. Mick started, "Do I really look that bad-?", "No," Spy interrupted, "You look fine." and before Mick could get any more worked up, Caroline parked and stepped out of her car in the simple white number that she and Spy had painstakingly picked out earlier. She grabbed the bouquet and picked at the cloth wrapping nervously as she approached him. He was gobsmacked. She smiled a bit hesitantly as she said, "Well, don't you look handsome?" He shook himself out of his shock as a big, goofy grin spread all over his face, "W-Wow, you look amazing." She smiled, blushing a bit as she tucked an artfully arranged hair behind her ear, "Yeah, well, that's Spy's fault. If it were up to me, I'd be wearing my least crumpled night shirt." He laughed and slid his arms around her waist, "No you wouldn't. I'd bet you've been stressed to high hell that this wouldn't be perfect." She cracked a smirk, "You're one to talk, cuz I know you've been worrying yourself up over nothing." Spy looked at Dell, who smiled and shook his head, before saying, "Alright, alright. Let's get you two actually married. Inside, chop, chop!" He hustled them into the courthouse and down the hall where the judge and his clerk had a room set up for the occasion. It had a little arch, a decorated table with the relevant paperwork set neatly on top, and a little radio playing soft guitar. It was more romantic than any of them thought it would be. The old judge's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled at them, "Ah, Mr. Mundy, Ms. Sweeney, right on time!" He shook their hands and then approached Dell and Spy, "And you are the witnesses?" Dell shook his hand and introduced himself, "Dell Conagher." The judge nodded, "Mr. Conagher and Mr..." Spy thought for a moment, then shook his hand, "Tillman.", "Mr. Tillman, well it's a nice day for a wedding, don't you think?" Caroline's eyes went wide and she looked at Mick. He leaned in close to her ear and whispered, "It's not his real name." but before she could ask any questions, the judge moved back to the front of the room and said, "Well let's get started, shall we?" Spy took the bouquet, and he and Dell stood to the side as Mick and Caroline stood hand in hand in front of the judge. The judge smiled at them, then started, "Welcome all! We're gathered here today to set the union between Mr. Mick Mundy, and Ms. Caroline Sweeney, in holy matrimony. If anyone has reason that these two should not marry, speak now or forever hold your peace..." The room was silent, then the judge continued, "Excellent. Now, let's not waste any time then, shall we? Mr. Mundy, do you take Ms. Sweeney to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, to love and comfort from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?" Mick felt tears pricking his eyes, but he ignored them as he looked at Caroline, "I do.", "And do you, Ms. Sweeney, take Mr. Mundy to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, to love and comfort from this day forward, as long as you both shall live?" Caroline was full on crying at this point and Mick gently swiped at her cheek with his thumb. She leaned into his touch before remembering and nodding profusely, "I do- I do.", "Then by the power vested in me by the state of New Mexico, I now pronounce you husband and wife." Caroline laughed as she cried and Mick met her in the middle, pressing his lips to hers. She kissed him back and the room applauded. Once the kiss broke, Mick whispered on her lips, "I love you, darlin'." She smiled and whispered back, "I love you too, Micky." and that was that. They signed the relevant paperwork, left the courthouse, and As Dell and Spy watched the new couple drive off, Dell sniffed, "I love a happy ending.", "Oh, this is not the end." Dell looked at him, "What'd you mean?" Spy lit a cigarette and puffed on it for a moment before he said, "I have a feeling this is only the beginning..."
