Teach us Delight in simple things,
And Mirth that has no bitter springs;
Forgiveness free of evil done,
And Love to all men 'neath the sun!
Rudyard Kipling
When I woke up, mommy was shuffling out of the bed and her make up had ran. She made her way to the bathroom. I snuggled deeper into the blankets remembering the color of the unicorn I had been riding. It was a shiny blue, the only one of that color. Her horn was a gold color and she was the most beautiful of them all. She let me ride her, while all the others wouldn't. I named her Lazine. Lazine is my unicorn.
Mommy came out looking prettier with her make up fixed and a smile on her face. She sat down next to me and I asked her why she had been crying. She didn't answer but asked how my friends were. I smiled and told her about McKayla and Melody. Not much of the details but just how Ninya had called them my gaurdians. Mommy chuckled at that.
Then I told her about Lazine. How pretty she was and how she was the only of the color and how she was the only to let me ride her. Mommy smiled and said that Lazine was perfect for my personality. I smiled and hugged mommy, thanking her for the compliment. Mommy said I was welcome and told me we should probably go check and make sure daddy and Kylie weren't burning the food.
I joined Mandy on the floor while mommy went to help daddy and Kylie. Mandy was watching the Lion King and she said she would love to be Simba's mom. I laughed and told her I would love to be Nala. Nala was pretty. Mandy and I began to play Lion King. Mandy didn't like the fact that I loved her son and pretended to bite me. I laughed and we began wrestling like lion's do. Kylie came in screeching how we should be acting like ladies instead of fooling around. Then me and Mandy had to watch the show in silence.
We ate supper the same way. Silent. Tension was high again but daddy sat next to mommy this time and Kylie was on the other side of the table. Mandy kept her head down and didn't say anything. She just ate her food and then asked to be excused when she was done. Kylie released her and Mandy took off for my room. I would finish soon. I wanted out of here just as much. I shot out of my chair as soon as I was excused.
Mandy and I colored then fell asleep in my bed. Kirya was next to me, whispering in my ear all night. I knew that when she did that, that she had something important to say but I was so tired that I didn't wake up to find out what it was.
