"Seonghwa, are you paying attention?"

"Huh?" Seonghwa's head snapped up, bringing him back to reality. "I'm sorry, professor. What were you saying?"

Professor Hwang sighed. "I was going over the lessons you were going to partake in teaching."

"Oh, right." Seonghwa looked down at the stack of papers containing the curriculum he had memorized a year prior.

Ever since the TA meeting with the prof started, Seonghwa's mind kept drifting to Hongjoong's peculiar behavior.

He seemed fine right before Seonghwa went to purchase his books.

After Hongjoong was finished at the cash register, he looked ill.

"Do you understand?" Professor Hwang's voice filtered in his ear.

Damn it, I drifted off again!

"Yes, I understand." Seonghwa replied.

He would look over the curriculum again later.

"Great. I'll see you bright and early tomorrow. It's nice to have you back as a TA, Seonghwa." Professor Hwang said warmly. "Even though the students gave you a hard time last year, you didn't give up. You were able to help them succeed in the course."

Seonghwa bit his lip, holding back the scoff that threatened to leave his lips.

He knew the professor meant well, but if he labeled verbal bullying from ignorant students merely as a 'hard time,' he didn't know the half of it.

Seonghwa bowed to his professor before packing his stack of papers back into his backpack.

He begrudgingly did a quick walk through of his classes before heading back to the Grand Apartments.

His watch read 3:25.

He wondered if Hongjoong made it back to his dorm okay.

I need to stop thinking about him. Seonghwa told himself, sighing.

Seonghwa pulled in the parking lot, spotting San staring at him as he walked towards apartment building C.

He had a skateboard tucked underneath his arm.

"San!" Seonghwa called after he parked, quickly grabbing his backpack and bag of textbooks.

San used his fob to disengage the security scanner on the entrance door.

He waited for Seonghwa, holding the door open.

"Thanks." Seonghwa said as he walked inside. "So, you're awake! What were you up to?"

"I went to check out this new skate park that opened not too far from here." San said, a hint of eagerness in his voice. "But hyung, something so fucking awesome happened. You wouldn't believe it."
