Seonghwa didn't hear anything Hongjoong said after he uttered those five words.
He tossed his phone aside and started throwing clothes around in his closet.
"...hello?" Hongjoong's voice resounded from the phone.
Seonghwa quickly put Hongjoong on speaker before he continued pulling out potential outfits.
"Sorry, I'm here! Yeah, I would love to go to the mall with you! Er, which one?"
"Times Square Mall, of course."
Seonghwa couldn't hold back his squeal.
Times Square Mall was the largest shopping center in South Korea.
It wasn't located too far away, in the Yeongdeungpo District of Seoul.
Times Square Mall was probably the best place Hongjoong could have chosen, given their circumstance.
The mall was always filled with foreigners, eager to shop.
Since foreigners that usually visited Korea were a bit more open-minded, it would be easier for Hongjoong to be comfortable without judging eyes staring at them from all sides.
Seonghwa couldnt care less about the stares, but he knew and understood that Hongjoong wasn't at that level yet.
Ever since Seonghwa and Hongjoong started their casual relationship, they haven't been able to hang out as much as they would have liked.
November is a crazy time for music majors.
Projects that make up a ridiculous percentage of their final grade get dumped on them.
True to Hongjoong's word from the beginning of the school year, both he and San stayed up all night for several days in a row to work on their respective compositions.
Hongjoong found a good stopping point with his project and decided to take a break.
Seonghwa was more than thrilled to hang out with the younger.
"What time do you wanna go?" Hongjoong asked. "Yeosang and I are helping San out with his final project tomorrow, so I'm completely free today."
Seonghwa looked at his alarm clock. 9:10am.
A trip to the Times Square Mall was an all day excursion.
The mall was just that huge.
They needed to get going as soon as possible if they wanted to look around at everything they wanted to.
Seonghwa knew he wouldn't be able to afford any of the brand name department store clothing (his TA paychecks would agree), but he wanted to try as many on as he could anyway.
"Just give me about fifteen minutes, and I'll be ready." Seonghwa replied. "We can take the subway to the mall. Parking is such a nightmare."
