Seonghwa was pleased that his group was able to finish filming that day.
All that was left now was editing, which would be a monster.
Their project wasn't due until December 20th, the last day of Film Lab, so they had plenty of time.
Seonghwa rushed back to his apartment to get ready for his mystery date with Hongjoong.
Yunho was there, the younger begging to come over and help him with his makeup, but San was nowhere to be found.
That didn't surprise him.
He noticed that San and Yeosang had been hanging out a lot more.
Seonghwa had been getting weird vibes from them these past couple of weeks.
It was a bit unsettling.
Letting it go, Seonghwa peeled off his clothes and quicky got into the shower, allowing the warm water to alleviate his thoughts.
Yunho was waiting on him, so he had to hurry.
Hongjoong's coming over here at seven.
I wonder what he's up to now?
Seonghwa wondered happily.
Hongjoong, however, was not in as calm of a mood as Seonghwa.
In fact, he was flat out panicking.
"Hongjoong! How the hell do you start a fire making naengmyeon?!" Yeosang shouted.
"I don't know! Just get the damn fire extinguisher!" Hongjoong roared as he tried to keep the flames from spreading further.
Yeosang had become an expert at putting out small fires thanks to the ravenette.
He grabbed the extinguisher from the hallway and quickly doused the flames.
Hongjoong sighed in relief, but the food he attempted to make for Seonghwa was ruined.
"I swear, the next song you write should be called "Fire" or something." Yeosang scowled. "It's a natural talent of yours."
Yeosang had shared with Hongjoong that when it came to surprises, Seonghwa liked simple and meaningful things.
Hongjoong's plan was to fix all of his favorite foods and share it with him at Seonghwa's apartment.
San had agreed to leave the apartment for the night so they could be alone.
He even bought tea light candles so it would be all romantic and shit.
But all of that planning and effort literally went up in flames.
"What am I gonna do?" Hongjoong moaned as he cleaned up the charred mess. "I have to meet Seonghwa in an hour and a half."
Yeosang rolled his eyes. "Hongjoong, you could show up with a hamburger and Seonghwa would be happy. He doesn't care what it is. As long as it came from your heart, that's all that matters to him."
Yeosang had been on a short fuse with Hongjoong ever since he had his discussion with San.
He was warier of the way Hongjoong acted around Seonghwa, and it was making him fume on the inside.
He hoped to god that Hongjoong wasn't just using Seonghwa.
There was no way he could forgive him if he was.
"Wooyoung has a bicycle. You could ask him to borrow it, and haul your ass to the grocery store to pick up some food. Some easy shit, stuff that's pre-made or you could heat up really quick. Don't give up on Seonghwa's surprise so soon, alright?"
Hongjoong nodded, Yeosang's words filling him with determination. "You're right. Okay, I'll go ask Wooyoung."
Hongjoong left the communal kitchen to go find Wooyoung.
Yeosang stayed behind, trying his hardest not to question his friend's motives for surprising Seonghwa.
