He picked up a lot of bad habits during his year in LA, like how to do stuff last minute.
Hongjoong now mentally thanked his American friends for teaching him how to advance his way through a tough situation.
It saved his and Seonghwa's date.
Hongjoong realized that all of the food he managed to buy pre-made were traditionally American foods, so he begged Yeosang to make naengmyeon to balance it out.
The only food items that survived Hongjoong's fire was the bottle of soju and Seonghwa's cake.
The cake sat neatly in a pristine pink and white box.
A gift for Seonghwa laid on top, wrapped in pink wrapping paper.
Hongjoong quickly placed the food in small dishes and packed everything in an insulated food carrier bag.
He thanked Yeosang profusely for his help before tugging on his coat, gloves, and hat.
Hongjoong walked to Seonghwa's apartment as fast as he could.
The snow had gotten heavier, and the streets and sidewalks were completely covered.
As Hongjoong approached the building, someone was just leaving.
The kind student waited for Hongjoong to jog up to the door and go inside before letting go of the door.
Hongjoong stomped his boots free of snow on the doorway's rug before heading up to the second floor.
Taking a deep breath, Hongjoong knocked softly on the door, trying his best to shove his nervousness to the back of his mind.
When Seonghwa answered the door, Hongjoong's brainwaves flat lined.
Seonghwa looked absolutely beautiful.
He was wearing the blouse and skirt Hongjoong bought him almost a month ago.
He went all out with his makeup, and even had on small hoop earrings.
Don't forget the pink one inch heels he borrowed from Yunho.
"Uh..." Hongjoong couldn't form a coherent thought.
"It's too cold to wear this outside, so I figured it would be fine to wear it here. Is this too much?" The blond asked, shy. "Yunho insisted that he did my makeup and even lent me his shoes. I tried to tell him that this wasn't-"
"You look stunning, Seonghwa." Hongjoong interrupted him. "Absolutely amazing."
Seonghwa blushed as he stepped aside to let Hongjoong into the apartment. "Thanks..."
Hongjoong awkwardly walked in the door.
He suddenly didn't feel cold anymore.
