Levy returns wearing a silver dress with black leggings and sleeves. She changed her headband to a black one with a gold flower on it. She kneels on the couch, facing me. She twirls a piece of my hair between her fingers.

Levy grabs locks of hair on both sides of my head gives it a little pull towards her. She rocks back and I obediently follow, kneeling half way on the couch, too. I stuff one hand in my pocket and sling the other over the couch.

Feelings wash over me as I look down on my little mage. Then, I lean in to kiss her softly. Before I even got to touch her, I wake up. I'm in the bed. Levy is on the couch, asleep.

I remember that last night, Levy passed out on the couch the second we got in. This left me to unpack the booze and promptly fall asleep in the bed. We barely talked last night and I never thought about kissing her then.

I get up and grab a towel and fresh clothes. I need to wash the smell of booze off. I set down my stuff and turn the shower on. I keep thinking about the dream I had.

Stripping off my clothes, I toss them out of the room and get in. Maybe all I need is a hot shower to clear my mind. But, in the back of my brain, I know it won't be that easy.

Levy and I make our way back to the castle for the last time to do one last sweep over and collect our reward. I still have thoughts of Levy burning ing my mind.

"Gajeel, about last night...," Levy trails off. I glance at her and shrug. I don't want to talk about it.

Levy continues talking. "Gajeel, I never should have taken that drink. I wasn't thinking. I need to make it up to you."

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

"Last night, when we were drunk and I acted stupidly?" sighs the Script mage. "And I tried to get you to... you know."

"Listen. I was as drunk as you were. I don't remember anything about what happened to us. Pretend it never never happened," I reply. Levy smiles and looks out the window at the hills.

Once we arrive I lead our way in scanning the castle for the last time. We don't find anything and return to the front by dinner time.

The historian meets us at the door and gives us each thirty-two thousand jewel for a job well done. He invites us to visit the museum when it's completed. He thanks again and we depart.

Levy and I are taken back to town. We grab a small pizza at a local restaurant and take it back to our room. We sit on the bed and enjoy it. I grab some scrap iron that I had forgotten about from my bag and munch on that as well.

Levy giggles, watching me. I chuckle back and ruffle her hair a bit. She laughs a bit harder and I can't help, but think she's beautiful. More than anybody else in the guild. More than anything in the world.

She is the beauty of Fairy Tail.

Levy

Gajeel has his stupid, wonderful grin and we laugh. He runs his fingers through my hair and I have to fight the little shiver that runs down my spine.

He picks up our empty pizza box and goes to throw it away. He has to walk down the hall to the common garbage, so I decide to make it up to Gajeel. I don't want him to think that the only reason I asked him about 'getting serious' last night was because I was drunk.

I really do like him and I know that he feels the same for me. I reach into me bag and pull out a dress that I have been dying to wear. It's gray with ruffled epaulets and detached sleeves and leggings.

I change in the bathroom and hear Gajeel come back and sit on the couch. I walk out to him and see him flinch a little. He looks taken with my outfit and I note a slight shade of blush in his cheeks.

Giggling at Gajeel's reaction, I kneel on the couch, facing him. He's blushing and giving me a nervous look. I raise my eyebrow and slightly tilt my head to the right.

"Gajeel, I still can't stop thinking about what happened last night and I really want to make it up to you," I demand. "I know you told me to drop it, but I can't. It makes me feel guilty and I don't want anything weird between us."

"W-well, what did you have in mind?" inquires Gajeel.

I lean in closer. "I thought, maybe, do a little sightseeing or take a walk in the hills." Gajeel relaxes and gives me a toothy grin. I guess my idea is a success.

Grabbing his hand, I stand up and we make our way downtown. I admit I am walking faster than I should and I get a few questioning faces as Gajeel and I pass by. I really just want to see as much as I can before we're homebound.

Gajeel holds me back and directs my attention to a dirt path. I smile and follow as he leads the way. The sign above says:

Valley Overlook
Make out point

The last part was obvious graffiti by local teens.

"Are you sure about going this way?" I point at the sign. "I mean..." I don't want to finish that sentence.

"Yeah. It's early on a Tuesday. No one's here. Besides, you can use your rune magic to camouflage us." I can't tell if he's joking or not, but I don't fight. We proceed up the hill.

Gajeel and I have been holding hands this entire time. His are coarse amd big, but mine seem to fit in his perfectly. Our heights are very different, too. While I am short, Gajeel might be the tallest in the guild. He likes to use my head as an armrest.

The top of the hill is in sight and deserted. I keep my delight hidden from Gajeel, for fear of making him think I am a child. I drop his hand and walk over to lean on a wooden fence. The sunset across the hill is a bright orange-pink with flecks of lavender twilight scattered near its edges. It's beautiful.

Gajeel

Her silloet against the sunset makes me want to push her against the fence and kiss her until dawn. To have her arms around my neck, legs around my hips, just kissing her.

"Are you okay, Gajeel? You're bright red." Levy giggles as I play it off. I can feel the warm blood coloring my cheeks and neck. At least she thinks it's cute. It is kinda cute when she blushes, too. I guess I just have to admit it. I'm in love with her.
