(Hi, guys, gals, and anybody in between. I just have quick note. You can play the song at any time. It's 21 Guns by Green Day. Ps. Merry Christmas!)
Levy
Mira, Erza, and I have safely arrived at Fairy Hills. Natsu had been raging behind us. I'm sure Juvia and Wendy are facing his fury, right now. Or, they may have slipped away after they had. I wasn't sure.
I throw off the uniform and stand in my living room, wearing nothing, but my bra and underwear. I grab some PJs and pad to the bathroom. I take a quick shower. I pull on my clothes and dry my hair. I decide it's a nice night for something special.
I flip the switch on my radio, tuning it in to my favorite station. I turn it up as the beginning of Bad Romance by Lady Gaga starts to radiate out of the speakers. I'm rocking out in my silky, light blue pajamas and don't care who sees or hears. I haven’t let loose like this for a while and it just feels so right.
My hair flies, wildly, and my hands are in the air. Dancing to this is like freedom. I can fly. At least, until the sounds of a deep voice, clearing their throat, brings me back to Earthland.
I spin around, searching for the source of the noise, and my gaze lands on a very amused looking Gajeel. I flush redder than Erza's hair and quickly cover my face with my hands. It doesn't matter how long he was there, only that he saw me dance like that. I almost never dance. Only a few of my friends know that I can dance. And, when I do, I can get a bit... wild.
Rough hands wrap around my wrists, pulling my hands off of my hot face. Gajeel has this goofy smirk on his face. The song ends and a new one begins.
"You really are a strange Shrimp, aren't ya?" Gajeel jokes. "But, if you want a good time, it's a good thing I came. But, I'm changing the station. I am not going to watch him whip. Or nae nae!" I giggle at him.
"Ok then. Meet me at the gates in five minutes." Gajeel raises a brow at me. I give him a nudge towards the open window that he must have climbed through. I watch as he starts crawling down the brick wall and begins to leave.
After shrugging off my clothes for the second time tonight, I scoure my closet for a nice dress. I settle for a a strapless, lavender dress wih a black belt that I buckle around my waist. I pull my bangs back with a matching black headband and slip on a pair of black flats.
Unplugging the radio and grabbing a portable power lacrama, just in case, I pick up the small device and walk out of my dorm. I get halfway down the hall when-
"Levy, what are you doing?" Oh, crap! I'm screwed! I slowly turn around, coming face to face with Erza. She's in her lilac pajamas and her hair is pulled back a bit.
"Oh, uh... Just taking this thing to get fixed. Drop it off and, maybe, pick it up in tomorrow." I know I shouldn't lie to Erza, but I can't let her know what is really going on. She shrugs, sticks a toothbrush in her mouth, and goes back to her room.
I sigh and continue on my way. I make it out and see a large mass near the gate. I hustle over.
"That was ten minutes," mocks Gajeel, gruffly. I punch him in the arm, but he isn't fazed. "And where the heck are we going that you need a radio?" I give him a sarcastic shrug and start walking. His heavy boots thump along, behind me.
We walk through town until we reach the guildhall. I peer through the windows, making sure it's safe. All the lights had been shut off and no noise can be heard.
"Alright. Solid Script: Key," I half-whisper. A magic key pops into my hands. I slide it in the keyhole and turn it. I can hear the telltale click of the door unlocking. Gajeel pushes it open and we quickly step inside.
It takes me a while to find the light switches in the dark, but, when I do, I carefully flick on a few. They light up the center of the guild floor. I can see Gajeel, too. He's on a stool at the edge of the light, eyes gleaming like an an animal's. I can see their ruby red color shining.
Gajeel stands and marches over, while I fiddle with the radio. It's tuned to my station and some popular song is is coming to and end. Another starts, but Gajeel's body pushes me out of the way.
"There is no way that I am gonna listen to that," mumbles Gajeel as he starts turning the dial. Static is on most of the chanels, but he keeps on tuning. He eventually stops on a station where Highway to Hell by ACDC was just getting over. Then, there's a song that I don't quite know.
I can hear eight long notes as Gajeel grabs my arm and drags me to the center of the circle. Gajeel puts his hands on my waist. I place mine on his shoulders and blush. This is the first time in a long time I've had a partner to dance with. There's a small pause before the words pour out.
Gajeel takes the lead and steps to his left. I follow, careful not to make a mistake. Step and pivot, step and pivot, step and pivot. It gets easier for me, but as the music speeds up, so his moves get more complicated. He spins and dips me a few times, he reverses our orbit around each other, and he takes steps in all directions.
On a smaller dip, he leans in, next to my ear, and whispers, "Relax. Just let it all go." He pulls us back to normal. I stare into those ruby gems. I study the piercings that cover his face. I feel my muscles loosen. I hadn't realized how stiff I was. I lock eyes with him again and feel so loose that I could fall over.
When the song comes to an end, Gajeel and I just start laughing. This electric feeling in my stomach is amazing. I've never had so much fun with anybody. I kiss Gajeel on the end of his nose as a reward. He gives me a disappointed scrunch of the face in return. I simply roll my eyes and kiss is rough lips.
"Thank you, Gajeel."
