The entire class of 1-A was having a rare day off and they were taking it to the fullest. The girls were at the mall buying clothes and whatnot, and Kirishima and Bakugou were at a sports store looking at weight equipment. Kaminari, Sero, and Tokoyami were looking at video games, one of them was looking for the most recent Outlast games, wanting to wallow in the dark, while the other two were getting the new Pokemon games, Scarlet and Violet. Everyone was doing things together, including Midoriya and Iida with quirk research, except for Toru Hagakure.

Toru was currently hiding in her room, crying as she saw the girls leave without her, again being left out of their social gathering. It was not the first time this has happened, nor is she sure will it be the last. The only way for them to 'see' her was either in her school uniform or when she speaks out and every time they would joke or say 'didn't see you there Hagakure, you need to stand out more!'

Stand out more with what?? Her Quirk makes her invisible and not even her shadow is seen, her body just absorbs or reflects any light. Hell, even her Hero Costume is designed for stealth, not to show off like the current blonde Bakugou.

Even though her family hasn't fully interacted with her, they did not think she was worthy of joining the hero course and just pretty much ignored her. She is the only member of the family to have this 'curse', or so they say. Toru sobbed even harder when she remembers being accused of taking family items, something she had never done nor will ever do.

She just wanted to be acknowledged, and have attention without resorting to pranks. Why is it so hard to just be...herself?

Meanwhile, Shoto Todoroki was in the dorms as well, not wanting to hang out today as learning to be social takes a toll on him, especially when he was forced to not be social by his bastard father.

He had decided to clean the dorms to keep himself busy and started working on the girl's side, as he knew it would be cleaner and faster to get that over with than the boy's side. He shudders to think how bad their bathroom will be if he ever gets to it.

Shoto just landed on one of the floors and stopped briefly when he heard crying from one of the doors. The tag next to it read Toru Hagakure. The heterochromia teen blinked a few times as he remembered the times Toru talked, and she always sounded so happy, enthusiastic, and loved to prank people. So why is she crying?

He decided to knock on the door and immediately the crying stopped, and silence fell. Was he imagining things? Was there someone in the room? Shoto waited a few seconds to listen and there, sniffling was heard, trying to avoid being noticed. He knocked on the door again.

"Hagakure? It's Shoto, is everything all right?" He asked and waited for her response. Nothing. This time he deadpanned. "I know you are in there, Toru, please open the door before I pull a Bakugou and break it open."

"DON'T YOU DARE!!" Toru screamed and Shoto slightly smirked in triumph as he finally got a reaction. "Fine! You can come in!"

Shoto entered the room and saw Toru sitting on her bed, a pillow in front of her and it looked like her head was resting on it by the look of its depression. It was also slightly discolored from the tears that were falling on it. He sat right next to her and tried to look at where her eyes might be.

"What is the matter? Why aren't you with the others today?"

Shoto was caught off guard at the angry snort that came out of the girl. "They left me behind, like they always do. Oh, Hagakure is invisible or she is not here, she does not want to hang out then. Why didn't you want to go, Hagakure? Oh you did, then why didn't you speak up? WELL WHY DIDN'T YOU ASK ME IN THE FIRST PLACE!! I WANTED TO GO SHOPPING BUT NOOOO, INVISIBLE HAGAKURE IS AN IGNORED HAGAKURE!!"

The heterochromia teen backed away a bit and stared at her with slightly surprised eyes, but inside he was scared of her outburst. The girls must have hurt her.

"I don't see you as invisible, Toru." Shoto said soothingly, and he heard her breath hitch in surprise. "In fact, I always look for you when class starts."

"T-then why don't you talk to me as often?" Toru hiccoughed and he had a jolt of guilt. "If you liked my company, why don't you ask me to hang out?"

"It was because I thought you were with the other girls, and you liked hanging out with them. I didn't know they were ignoring you, and for that I am sorry."

Shoto then felt something wrapped around him and pressure was against his chest, his nose tickled at the invisible hair. "I...tried to hang out with them but I always felt like they were ignoring me, like I wasn't there. Out of sight out of mind, ya know? It still hurts..."

Shoto then wrapped his arms around her and petted her hair, and he felt her lean into it. "From now on you will talk to me, I see you as more than just clothing. You are kind, energetic, and have a personality that is hard for me to ignore."

Toru giggled and leaned further in. "Is Shoto Todoroki flirting with me? This is the best day of my life!"

The heterochromia teen blushed and gave a light chuckle. He then had a thought. "Since we are the only two in the dorm, and they won't be back until sundown, why don't we rest a bit. I know crying can take a lot of energy out of you."

Toru had an invisible blush but agreed, and they both just cuddled on her bed and Shoto chilled the room to comfortable levels. It was the best day of their lives, and it would be better for them in the near future.
