Day 20: Bedtime Stories

Bakugou and Eevee were out doing hero work overnight and they had asked their friend Victoria to watch over their two eevettes. The spiderette loved children and she would do her best to get them to bed after a decent meal.

She made some spicy carne asada tacos and the duo seemed to love it, including the little flareon Apollo. He even added more hot sauce to it, and released a small fireball as a burp. That amused the spiderette as she believed that the food aint good without a burp.

Artemis seemed to like things more savory instead of spicy but she ate her dinner just the same, she did have a little more milk than her brother. Next time she will make a separate batch for the lunette when Victoria babysits again.

A few hours later it was time for bed and Victoria ushered the eevettes to their rooms after asking them to brush their teeth. However, Apollo was still running around refusing to get into his bed.

"Apollo, it's time for bed. You don't want mom and dad to come in here and see you misbehaving."

"I'm not tired! I want to stay up until Mom and Dad get here!" He yelled and blew a mini flamethrower in frustration. He cringed when Victoria went to her full height.

"One: Don't flare up at me and two: If you don't behave, El cuco will come and take you away."

Artemis looked up at the spiderette in confusion. "Al Cuckoo?"

"El Cuco, he is a creature of the dark who steals children who misbehave and don't sleep when they are told." Victoria continued, lowering her voice to add some drama. She then quickly knitted a cloth with the picture of El Cuco.

"El Cuco is a shapeshifter with red demonic eyes, mostly favors the look of an alligator-man, all covered in green scales. He can hide everywhere, behind the curtains..."

Apollo looked at the curtains next to him when he saw them shift in an invisible breeze. He did not see the spiderette's thread attached to them, and she was smiling at his ruffled collar and tail.

"Under the bed..."

"Eeep!" Artemis squealed and jumped off her bed and joined her brother's. They were hugging together in fear now.

"Even disguised as a toy."

Several of their plush wiggled and they both screamed as one of them jumped and flew towards the spiderette. They were now terrified, even more so as she simply cocooned it into her web. It was still shaking.

"El Cuco will not bother you if you are good children, listening to their parents when told, and all they will do is just watch over you, content that you are behaving. However..."

The room started to darken as her spiderlings built webs over the lamps, creating an eerie glow. The kids' furs ruffled in fear.

"If a child misbehaves, and continues to do so, El Cuco will become hungry by the delinquency of the child, until eventually it will not hold back and kidnap the child, drag them to their nest, and devour them, bones and all."

The two children screamed and ran towards the spiderette with tears down their faces. "Don't let
El Cuco eat me, Aunt V! I don't want to die!"

"Auntie V, we'll behave pwomise!!"

"Then sleep and behave, I will make sure El Cuco doesn't bother you tonight. However, you must promise me you will be good to your mom and dad."

"We pr/womise!!"

With a nod of approval she got the two to bed, and she left the room after about 30 minutes once she saw that the duo were asleep. She then made sure her spiderlings removed every thread in the room and went to the living room where she was making a thermal blanket for her boyfriend's birthday.

Around 3 in the morning, Eevee and Katsuki arrived home and saw that everything was peaceful.

"Hello Silks, everything went well?" Katsuki asked, and she just smiled.

"I was able to get them to bed around 9."

"Both of them? Apollo hates being told to sleep." Katsuki was surprised that his eldest even listened to the spiderette. He then noticed a certain smirk. "What did you do?"

"Oh, I told them a little story of a child eater, El Cuco."

Both Katsuki and Eevee giggled at the spiderette. "Why am I not surprised? Next time tell them about El Chupacabra."

"Oooooh, Eevee loves that one."
