Jade woke up with a jolt. She had no reason to, her and her sisters always had dreamless nights. She just thought it was fun to do. People in the movies always did that anyway. Jade inhaled as she stretched and yawned.
She threw off her covers that were conveniently packed in her bag, thanks to Carmen. She smiled as she took a peek at her only friends.
Sam was mumbling in different voices, typical, while Carmen was awake and doing squats.
But... Where's...?
"Where's our brave and bold one?" Jade asked.
"Went-to get-some stuff." Carmen replied, straining as she forces herself to do more. Jade nodded and scanned the warehouse, careful not to miss anything small. She couldn't help it. Learning about her new surroundings was second nature to her.
Her hazel orbs fell onto Carmen again. She watched as she went up and down. Jade furrowed her brow.
"How many have you done so far? You're sweating... More than I've actually seen you sweat..."
Carmen huffed a loose hair out of her face before hitting the ground and doing push-ups.
Her outfit was unusual too.
She was wearing Spandex, a sports bra, her free fingered gloves, and her waist length hair was put up in a tangled ponytail.
Not her best look but, somehow, she still pulled it off. She was the fashionista of the group.
Jade coughed and Carmen stopped to look at her youngest friend.
"Uh, I lost count at... 247? Yeah." She answered, panting. She stood up. "Manhattan's a loud city. I couldn't even sleep because there were sirens all last night keeping me up."
Sam chuckled, sleepily.
"You mean all this morning." She said, more a statement than a question.
"I can't tell you how cute you look in the morning." Carmen replied, dryly.
Sam blew raspberries and dug into her bag that was set beside the space she was sleeping in. She drew out four mini toothbrushes and tossed two to Carmen and Jade.
"Adri's out?" Sam asked before brushing her teeth.
"Yep. Said she was getting groceries, necessitates, etc." Jade nodded, agreeing with Carmen.
