Adrian pulled on the neck of her crop top, still getting used to the attire of regular humans.
She had worn clothes made from humans before but she was purely disgusted with how short and tight they were making their clothes nowadays. She was lucky she could even find what she currently had on. An undershirt and a crop top with black leggings.
Goddamn, she couldn't even explain how much she hated having her arms this exposed. The shirts she wore had sleeves that reached just above her elbow.
Adrian read the time off her watch and sighed, inwardly smacking herself. It was already around ten and her whole schedule for the team had been ruined. She ended up waking up at seven while the others were still out cold. They were supposed to already be out trying to find the turtles together. But....
Adrian smiled slightly. Maybe it wasn't too bad that they practiced everything and went over what they would do if they encountered the Turtles.
She groaned and stretched, yawning involuntarily. Here she was... Walking on the top of someone's apartment room and trying to decide on what to do now.
"Hey!" A voice shouted, making Adrian turn and quirk an eyebrow.
She made a move, getting ready to find where the voice came from, but stopped and looked at herself.
Would it be smart to check something out when she was in her Wolf and Fox Hybrid form? That would send someone running, no sprinting out of the country.
Not that her form was any type of scary. It just looked like a costume bought from a unique costume store.
Deciding that she didn't care what anyone thought, Adrian shrugged and sprinted towards the voice.
She skidded to a stop at an edge, nearly falling off the building in the process. She frowned and heard another call.
"Help!" Someone shouted.
She looked east and started towards the voice.
"Leave me alone!" A female voice shouted in the other direction.
Adrian stopped, feeling pulled in different directions as she heard the many voices in her head. Goddamned sensitive ears, she thought to herself. She put her hands over her ears and took a deep breath, trying to ignore the many calls of help.
She couldn't help them all.... She nodded to herself. It was impossible and it wasn't any of her business anyway since she was a mercenary, right?
Adrian stood up and her ears perked up, trying to hear another call for help.
"Don't touch me! Help!" Someone screamed.
She focused her ears on that one voice and followed it briskly.
"Someo-!" The voice was cut off by a growl.
"Shut up!" Someone else berated.
Adrian looked down the alleyway and saw a man holding a woman close to him.
"Dammit, Scarlet! You have to learn how to be quiet!" He scolded, keeping a hand over her mouth.
The woman quivered in fear making Adrian bite her lip, hearing a whimper come from 'Scarlet'. The man pressed a knife against her neck and chuckled.
"I guess now will be a perfect time to teach you." He purred.
Adrian growled and pulled out a handful of her trademarked ninja stars.
Scarlet's eyes watered as she squeezed them tight, praying she would get out of this situation alive.
"Ah! Fuck!" The man exclaimed, taking a few steps back and dropping his knife and holding the hand that once held it.
Adrian took Scarlet's hand and pulled her away from the alleyway, surprising her and making her yelp. Adrian looked around the street and saw a bulked up man.
"Sir! Take this and watch over this woman." She said, slipping something into his hand and pushing Scarlet into the man.
Before the large man could say anything, Adrian had already sprinted away, making her way to the rooftops. Chuckling she heard clamoring come from behind her and listened closely as she ran, trying to find another person who needed help.
Gasping and bumping into something headfirst, Adrian yelped and whimpered in pain, holding her head in pain.
"Agh! Dammit!" She exclaimed, closing one eye without intention as she rubbed her head.
"Urgh..... I am so sorry, miss! I didn't see you!" A masculine voice apologized, groaning slightly himself.
Adrian let her hand drop and finally give a look to the person she bumped into.
"No problem, dude. I'm surprised I didn't see you. I usually don't bump into things like that." She said, about to walk off.
"I really am sorry, ma'am. I didn't-" he stepped out from the dark and they both finally got a good look of one another.
Adrian gasped, seeing the large humanoid turtle, and pulled out her sword, pointing it at him and taking a cautious step back.
"Don't get any closer!" She ordered.
The turtle seemed to be dazed for a second before glaring back at her, seeing the symbol of the Foot on her suit and growling lowly.
"Who are you?" He demanded.
Adrian couldn't help but feel slightly giddy. She felt like she was in the presence of a famous celebrity. This turtle had done so many things that she thought was impressive. She shook her thoughts away and smirked at him.
"Oh, yeah. Because I'm just gonna give out that information for free." She scoffed, memorizing his look.
Royal blue mask, eyes are a shade lighter than his mask, turtle obviously, average sized mutant, katana blades. Hmm, Japanese, huh?
"You're a Hamato? Which one? Not the sensei, obviously. Are you the...leader?" She guessed, using the tip of her sword to pick up his chin so she could inspect his face.
The turtle seemed to hesitate slightly, making her chuckle. "Yep. Thought so. You look a little stressed." She teased.
He backed up quickly and pulled out his own weapons, his katanas colliding with her sword.
Adrian hid her surprise. "Tell me your name and I'll think about letting you live."
She saw his grip tighten around his katanas. "I don't want to fight you, miss. But I will if you don't put down your weapon."
Thinking, she smiled. If she put down her sword, he would probably put his katanas down too. But what would happen after that?
"Hmm.... Hard pass, captain. Maybe another time. Or.... I will if you tell me your name."
The turtle growled at his nickname and lowered his katanas hesitantly. "Leonardo." He said after a few minutes.
Leonardo? Like Leonardo Da Vinci?! Holy shit, that's legitness! Adrian inwardly rolled her eyes at her childish thoughts and looked at Leonardo again.
"That's a real mouthful. Leonardo." She repeated to herself.
"Now you have to say who you are or I attack you."
Adrian cursed herself, knowing how she was all about fair play. An idea stirred in her mind.
"I came out in a movie from 1972 to 1978. I'm married to the 'Stallion'. Who am I?" She asked.
Leo glared. "You were supposed to give me a name, not a riddle."
Adrian shrugged. "Well, next time you know you have to ask for a name instead of an identity." She countered.
They both gave each other a death glower until they both heard their personal ringtones going off in their pockets. Adrian blushes lightly and turned it off.
"That's my cue, see ya, Captain~" She called, racing off to regain her dignity.
"Wait!" He shouted, failing to stop her.
He huffed and answered his phone.
"Yeah?"
