"We cannot keep pushing your book release back. Do you know how many emails I woke up to today? A thousand, and that's adding to the four thousand I already have. Talked to Ryze, and their emails is even fuller. Stop playing."
"See how my manager talk to me," De spoke, looking over to Courtney, as they sit in the back of the blacked out Tahoe. The two had finally made the trip down to Galveston to meet with a child that could possibly be his child.
Courtney agreed to tag along, especially since her aunt doesn't have a good relationship with De, and never tried to. Courtney was more so to keep the sit down peaceful after not even telling her relative he was with her.
"So give em a release date."
"And what date shall I give em to finally add to the video? Next week, next month?" Arie asked sarcastically.
"This Tuesday. They been waiting long enough," he told Arie.
"This Tuesday it is," Arie said with satisfaction and relief. "You do realize this will require you to be around more press? Like, interviews, cameras flashing in your face, some media training to control your mouth."
"Ima start by sayin' my mouth can't be controlled, and my fan base fuck wit me because I'm outspoken. I'm home trained, I know how to switch it up for a different audience wit out being a buster."
Arie chuckled, "Aight, De'Aundre. Ima get on the line and call Ryze and your publicist to get everything set up."
"Tenfold," he said just before hanging up. "Well there you have it."
"I'm ready to read it. You releasing that song you teasing us wit?" Courtney asked, and De laughed.
"Why everybody wantin' me to release that record? Y'know that was initially for Low."
"Really? I mean, I love Low. He's talented, but that's not his sound. You made it your sound by the snippet on your live weeks back, and making it the sound attached to your book promo videos," she told him.
