Tour was coming to an end and despite how exhausted you were, you staring at the top buck above you were Rain slept, his tail dangling off the edge, often flicking, showing he was dreaming peacefully. You let out a small sigh, trying to close your eyes and go to sleep but nothing helped. You turned on your side, looking at Sodo's and Phantom's bunk, both the ghouls deep in sleep. You frowned as you allowed your mind to wander.
Eventually you started thinking about home. About your bed. Your room. Your favorite trinkets you couldn't bring with you on tour. Your favorite home-cooked meals.
And then the tears came. You curled up on yourself, burying your face in your hands as you silently cried. Oh how you wanted to go home. To be home. Be around more people you knew. People you loved and people who loved you. The tears came faster and larger and didn't have any plans on stopping soon.
Swiss turned over in his bunk beside yours but you didn't notice. The mattress shifted as he stood up and took a step, standing in front of yours. He instantly crawled in beside you, wrapping his arms around you as he uncurled you from the tight position.
"Y/n?" He said softly, running a hand over your scalp, combing through your hair. "What's got you crying, sweetheart?" He whispered. Your chin quivered as you looked up from where your face was buried in your hands.
"Just thinking about home." You whispered shakily. He gave you a sympathetic frown, moving closer to you and holding you tightly against him.
"I know. I know, it hurts." He cooed. You sucked in a shaky breath as your face pushed against his chest.
"Just wanna go home. I'm tired Swiss." You whimper quietly.
"Oh honey... it's okay. It's alright." He said quietly. "It's suck being away from home so long, I know." He said, hugging you tighter. He nuzzled his face against your cheek, inhaling your scent deeply.
"It'll soon be over. It's almost September and soon while be on our way home. It'll be here before you know it." He said quietly into your ear, his breath hot on your skin. Your eyes hung heavy as you nodded in agreement. He smiled, running his claws up and down your back gently, his touch making you even drowsier.
"Close your eyes and sleep. You're gonna need it." He murmured before pressing a kiss to your forehead. You listened, closing your eyes and already feeling yourself drifting off to sleep in the strong ghoul's embrace.
