Papa has gone ballistic.

When he found out what happened at my bachelorette he broke the dining table and smashed about three glasses.

He's been screaming all night about who those men were and why they attacked us.

Helen tried to argue that the men weren't there for us particularly, we just happened to be in the strip club at the time they decided to make an appearance.

Only that wasn't true, apparently, Papa had cut business ties with a lower-ranking gang and in retaliation, they sent some men to take me and my sister out.

I'm not sure whether Papa is more angry that me and Helen could have been killed or that a low-ranking gang dared to think they could pull a stunt like that and live to see another year.

Mamma had been crying all day since she found out and she only sobbed harder when she found out I'd killed the two men.

"YOU PROMISED ME THEY'D BE SAFE!" Mamma screams at Papa.

They've been yelling at each other all night since they found out about what happened on Saturday. I can hear them even from my bedroom, with the door shut.

"ARIA, DOWNSTAIRS," Papà yells and I sigh as I trail down the staircase. I spare a glance at Helen's room but she hasn't come out.

I need to apologise and try and patch things up with her, I said some cruel things to her in a fit of rage. I hoped she was okay.

I stepped into the kitchen and saw plates and glasses broken, I looked at Mamma but she was unharmed. I felt guilty for even looking. In twenty-five years of marriage, Papà had never once hit Mamma.

It was sad how rare that was.

"We've decided to postpone the wedding, we can't let you and Ares get married until we sort this all out. We need to get our affairs in order with Louis' gang and we need to assess our business strategies with other organisations." Papa tells me, dragging a hand through his hair.
He was stressed and once again I felt bad.

I was the one who had begged and begged for him to let me and Helen out with our friends without sending any men with us. It was not likely he'd ever do that shit again.

"When will I be getting married then?" I asked him.

Never. Say never. Say never.

"Sometime in November, Angelo," Papa tells me and I raise my eyebrows.

That's in two months.

I have two months to do everything possible to stop this.

I can do that.

I walk away from my parents and leave them to argue as I walk upstairs and stop outside Helen's door.

"Helen? Can we talk?" I ask her.

"B-busy right now!" She calls out, she sounds breathless.

I really hope she hasn't been crying.

I pause, "I think we should talk, look I'm sorry about what I said it wasn't fair for me to throw what happened in your face. Please can I come in?" I ask her, looking around nervously.

"A-Aria...oh...j-just wait a second." She yells.

What the hell is she doing?

I turn the door handle and open her room and yelp.

Phoenix is lying in between her legs, kissing her neck. He's shirtless but his pants are on so it's safe to assume they haven't...god.

Helen shrieks and Phoenix climbs off her making eye contact with me and before I even know what I'm doing my fist is in his face.
