SLIGHT TRIGGER WARNING FOR THIS CHAPTER.

flashback - nine and a half years ago...

"that was..." seulgi trails off, feeling out of breath.

"amazing..." chan finishes her sentence, pulling out of her and quickly discarding the condom. he quickly leans back down to capture her lips with his, the two of them smiling into the kiss. "i love you." he whispers against her lips.

"i love you, too." she smiles, reattaching their lips.

a few weeks later...

"chan..." seulgi calls for him. the fear in her tone making him instantly worry.

"what's wrong, baby?" he asks, cupping her sad face in the palms of his hands. she couldn't say anything, only lifting up the positive pregnancy test, her hands shaking as she shows him. his eyes widen, instantly letting go of her face to grab the test from her hands. he knew she wouldn't joke about something like this, and he felt his heart drop.

"i... fuck..." he breathes, not really knowing what to say. they were far too young for this, seulgi just barely turning fifteen, chan turning seventeen in a few months. he didn't even want to think about how their parents would react.

"what do we do..." she trails off, tears streaming down her face. her crying pulling chan out of his thoughts. he drops the test, going back to cupping her face, wiping her tears away with his thumbs.

"i-i don't know... but, w-we'll figure it out, baby..." his own voice shaking as he places a quick kiss against her lips. pulling her head into his chest as he hugged her. he couldn't believe this was happening to them, he figured things like this only happened in the movies. he was extremely worried, but he would not let seulgi go through this alone. he loved her more than words.

a few months later...

"thanks for letting us stay here, mrs. lee." chan politely bows at minho's mother. the pair had recently gotten kicked out of their own homes as seulgi was unable to hide her pregnancy anymore, her bump was becoming far too obvious. thankfully for them, chan's best friend minho had asked his mom if they would stay with them. and thankfully, she said yes, feeling sympathetic for the pair's situation.

"of course, get minho to help you with those bags." she says, noticing how he was struggling, carrying a mixture of his bags and seulgi's bags, not wanting her to carry anything too heavy.

"i am helping." minho adds, coming in behind seulgi, his own arms filled with bags as well, as he too didn't want seulgi carrying anything too heavy.

"they won't let me help." seulgi chuckles to minho's mom. she laughs as well, looking back to chan.

"you'll make a great dad." she tells him, the compliment making him smile. he was feeling a little overwhelmed at the thought of becoming a dad, but he was ready to take on the challenge. he was feeling especially down after his parents practically disowned him, so mrs. lee's words really meant a lot to him in this moment.

"thank you." he tells her sincerely, continuing his way down the hall to set the bags down.

a few months later...
