chapter fourteen

life is not a fairytale

"okay, i'll be back in about an hour, and i'll start dinner. don't you dare cook for me, minho." seulgi tells him. he was watching daehyun while seulgi ran to hyunjin's to drop off a few things he left at her house the night before. sure she didn't have to bring it to him, but it was nice to have an excuse to see him. and minho was okay with watching him, happy to finally see seulgi in a blossoming relationship.

"no promises, you know how much i like to cook." he teases. seulgi rolls her eyes.

"i'll be back soon, baby. be good to uncle minho." she places a kiss on daehyun's forehead.

"yeah, yeah." daehyun says, playfully rolling his eyes, the action catching seulgi off guard.

"when did you learn how to be sassy?" she giggles at him, looking back to minho who shrugs.

"jisung!" he exclaims happily.

"jisung? who's jisung?" she asks again, noting how
minho avoids her gaze this time.

"uncle minho's friend! i met him last night!"

"uncle minho's friend, huh?" she gives minho a look saying 'you'll explain this to me later'. minho nods sheepishly. "well, you two boys, behave. i'll be back soon." she says, waving them goodbye before heading out the door. she closes it behind her, making her way down the driveway. hopping in her car, pulling her seatbelt on, making sure to give it a final tug before starting the car like always.

"oh, hey seulgi, what are you doing here?" seungmin asks, running a hand through his fluffy brown hair.

"i just came to drop this jacket off for hyunjin, is he home? i saw his car out front."

"uh, yeah, but he's busy right now."

"oh, i can wait." she tells him with a smile.

"i'll just give it to him." he says, reaching his hand out for the jacket.

"well, i kind of wanted to see him too." she admits.

"right... um, come in." he says, stepping to the side. seulgi noticed his strange vibe, but assumed it was because he maybe wasn't completely okay with hyunjin being with her. but she knew once he got to know her, he would like her.

seungmin awkwardly follows her, watching intently as she sits on the couch.

"i'll uh, i'll go grab him." he says, hurriedly running up the stairs. he instantly barges into hyunjin's room, the two in the room looking at him as if he was crazy.

"seungmin, i told you to give us a minute." hyunjin tells him.

"seulgi is here."

"wha-"

"oh she is? perfect." the other person attempts to push past seungmin, but he stops her.

"iseul, no." seungmin shakes his head at her.

"move." she demands. he looks back at hyunjin for help.
