Where We Belong (Four/Tobias Eaton x OC)

Training Part 2

I got up early the next morning and headed to the training area. I walked over to a punching bag and started practicing. After a few minutes I saw Four walk in I just ignored him and kept punching. He walked over to me  and started observing me. "You're up early." He said from behind me. "Ya just wanted to get to get some extra practice in." I said double jabbing the bag. "I wanted to ask you this earlier but where did you learn to fight?" I paused for I second before punching again. "My brother taught me. He was in Dauntless a few years ago. When ever he had to train at the fence he would sometimes sneak away and teach me what he learned." I heard him take a deep breath in. "Your brother wouldn't by any chance be Ethan Frazier would it?" I instantly froze when I heard his name. "Y-you know Ethan? How?" I slowly turned towards him. "He was in my class, and he was my best friend. That's also why the move you used is called the 'FE takedown.'" I couldn't help but smile a little and he smiled too. "Now I feel stupid. For not realizing it means 'the Four and Ethan take down'. Do you know by any chance where he is? I haven't seen him around here." He looked down and his smile disappeared. "Umm by the time we got to the second stage of training he disappeared. I just guessed he became Factionless. I'm sorry." I felt my smile even start to fade. "Oh...It's ok." We were silent for a moment. "I'm sure you'll do fine in the test tomorrow." I gave him a little unsure smile. "Thanks."

Later that day we were all in the training area again I was punching the same bag I did this morning. I saw Four had just finished giving tips to other initiates when he started to walk in my direction. I ignored him coming over and continued punching the bag. "Hey." He said. "Hi." I responded. "Here when you punch make sure you keep tension here." He said placing his hands on my stomach. It sent a chill up my spine. "Ok thanks." I said caught off guard. After a few more punches I decided to take a little break and go watch Christina and Molly fight. Christina was on the ground getting kicked in the stomach I felt so bad because she was coughing and after a minute managed to squirm away from her. "Come on Chris!" I heard Tris yell. She managed to get back on her feet and punch Molly in the face. After a few more minutes of fighting Molly got a few more punches and kicks at Christina. I could tell she was getting tired when Molly kicked her one more time she started crawling away yelling, "Stop! Stop! I'm done! I'm done!" Oh no this was not going to be good. I saw a few people  give up before which did not turn out well. "You need to stop?" Eric asked looking down at her. "Ok. Let me give you a hand." I had a real bad feeling about this. "All right, let's everyone take a break!"

We were right in front of the Chasm Eric and Christina in front. "You feelin' a little better?" I overheard him ask. "Ya, I'm fine." I could feel something was about to happen. When they got onto the bridge Eric pushed Christina off the bridge but before she fell he caught her by her wrist and placed her on the side. I wanted to help her but I knew it was a bad idea. I saw Tris take a step but before she could I gave her a nudge and gave her a stern look. She knew what I meant and gave me a frustrated look. "You've got three options. Hang there and I'll forgive your cowardice. Fall and die. Or give up. But if you give up, you're out." She was panting and grunting trying to keep her grip. It was taking everything inside of me not to run up and help her. "Come on, Chris!" Tris yelled. I gave her a 'Really? Are you trying to get in trouble?' look. Eric looked over at us. Chris continued to grunt and held on. Finally after a few minutes Eric finally called, "Time." Tris and Will ran over to her and helped her up. "Dauntless never give up." Eric said. He really was starting to piss. Me. Off.
