We're back in the dorm resting from the hard day of training. When I over hear Tris and Christina talking. "I'm never going to make it." She said flopping onto her bed. "Yes, you are." Christina said comforting her. "I'm the weakest one here." Tris rebutted. "Then you'll be most improved." She had gotten up and sat next to Tris. "You're Candor. You're not supposed to lie." I could tell Christina was starting to get fed up with Tris' pessimist thoughts. "I was Candor. And I'm not lying." Al them joined in on the conversation. "If they cut me, I think my parents would take me back." Will annoyingly added in saying, "No, it doesn't work like that. Even if they wanted to, their faction wouldn't allow it." This conversation was seriously getting depressing. "Even if my parents would take me back, I wouldn't belong there anymore." I had to switch the conversation it was getting to sad. "Ok can we switch the conversation this is getting way to depressing. And Tris you're going to get make it if you keep that bad attitude it's not going to help you at all." Tris was now sitting up. "Yeah let's switch the conversation." Al added. "Hey you know what we should do? Get tattoos."

We walked to the tattoo parlor and looked at the glass designs on the walls. As the others were looking at the designs I saw Tori in the corner. I needed her to ask her more about being Divergent. "You remember me, right? I was wonder if could..." With out even looking at me she said, "No. I just do tattoos." I shrugged and walked away, just to find a tattoo panel before coming back to her. "I'd like this one please." Tori sighed and pointed for me to sit in the chair. "Can I get it on my shoulder?" She nodded and powered the tattoo machine. "Can I just ask you..." But before I could finish she cut me off. "You made a mistake choosing Dauntless. They'll find out about you." She was starting to scare me. "Who? Who will?" She just looked at the patch drawing my tattoo. "The people you're a threat to." She responded. "What people? Who, Dauntless?" I was really curious now. "No, society. If you don't fit into a category, they can't control you." She explained. "I don't get it. I'm Dauntless. I'm going to be Dauntless. I chose Dauntless." She sighed and took off the patch. "For your sake I hope so."
