The Past

LACE's POV

Pain. All I can feel is pain all over my body. I could hardly hear or see because of the impact of the bullets that hit me.

Kung tutuusin, I am lucky enough to gain consciousness again.

"Argh, shit," daing ko sa sakit nang subukan kong gumalaw.

Iniangat ko ang ulo ko at nanlamig ako sa gulat nang makitang nababalot ng apoy ang mansyon.

Shit. Are they still inside?!

Lalo akong napasigaw sa sakit nang pinilit ko ang makatayo. Nagkakandarapa pa ako sa paglakad papasok sa mansyon.

It was dangerous for me to go in but that didn't cross my mind, all I wanted to know was if they were still alive.

Please be alive.

"Shit," Namamanhid na ang katawan ko at pakiramdam ko ay wala na akong enerhiya pa para maglakad. "Marvin! Zane! Dk!" I shout using all the energy left but I can't see even one of them. "Zeik! Where the fucking hell are you?!" Napaluhod ako sa sahig ngunit ipinagpatuloy ko pa rin.

All the bad news is entering my mind. I'm overthinking and panicking. What if they've been hit by falling ceilings? What if they've been shot? What if.. they're dead?

I still tried to stand even though I already fell several times. "MARVIN!" I fell on the ground again.

"Lace?" That is Zeik's. Agad akong may naramdaman na humawak at umalalay sa akin. "M-Marvin is.." Halos bumagsak ako pero dahil sa alalay ni Zeik ay hindi ako tuluyang bumagsak sa sahig.

He's dead. That shit.

"Man, I thought I was finally going to die." sinamaan ko pa ng tingin si Zeik bago nya ako inalalayan at nagmadali sya sa paglalakad.

"Wait, Zeik," pigil ko. "The other are still---"

"No." matigas syang nagsalita. I can see his tears but he's acting tough. "My priority for now is you."

FEW days later after the incident. We, somehow, managed to escaped from that burning mansion. It's sad to think that the mansion where it all started burned down with its memories.

Halos mag-iisang buwan bago ako nagising at tatlong bala ang nakita sa katawan ko. Nag imbestiga na rin ang mga hi-nire namin na mga detective na dating tinulungan ni Dad kaya wala silang choice kundi tulungan kami.

Thankfully Dk was found only unconscious but he also suffered some third degree burns that required intensive treatment. Nalaman rin na bumagsak sya mula sa second floor at may mga nabali syang buto kaya critical ang kondisyon nya. I know that luck is with him that is why he is able to live until now.

Unfortunately, Zane, Gerome, Dwane and Marvin was confirmed dead. Nakita ang mga sunog nilang katawan sa loob maliban lang kay Dwane at pinaniniwalaan na tuluyang naging abo ang bangkay nya kaya hindi na ito nakita pa. Nakita rin sa mansion ang katawan ni Dad at mukhang sina Zane at Dk ang nakakita noon.
