School dance of love, or heartbreak?

Time: school dance! / celebi's flashback 

I waited nervously at the door.

Reshes could walk in any second now..

'Nervous?', Turo asked, standing next to me.

'Of course, you?', I asked.

'I'm on the edge of shitting my pants in 6 different colours'

'That should get a world record tho-', I chuckled.

'Well ye-', he began, but as Sada walked through the door he stopped.

She looked around for Turo, walking to him when she found him.

'Hey babe!', she said, smiling brightly at him.

While Turo was red as a tomato and trying even harder to not soil his pants.

'Uhmm?-', was all he could get out of his mouth.

She grabbed his hand and pulled him away.

I watched and couldn't help but smile.

I was proud of him for getting a girlfriend that's perfect for him, just don't tell him I said that, that's against our bro code.

Then I felled a tap on my shoulder.

I then found out how flabbergasted and shocked Turo had felt, as I looked right into Reshes sky blue eyes and matching dress.

But I was cured from this quicker then him.

'You look beautiful tonight', I said with a little smile.

'You're saying I don't look pretty everyday?'

'I uhmm-.. uhh..', I said, being dumbfounded once again.

'I'm just kidding', she said, with her famous bright smile.

At this point I was supposed to have fainted, or died, I don't know!

'Nice dress'

'It has pockets!', she said, sticking her hands in them to show.

'Wow'

'Mhm!'

We were watching as Sada and Turo were killing it on the dance floor.

'Since when can they dance?', I asked.

'How am I supposed to know?', Reshes answered.

'Why are you answering my question with another question?'

'Why are you doing that too?'

This went back and forth for a bit, until the dj announced that "Te Amo by Francisco De Vita" would be played next.

Reshes gasped by hearing this.

'What?'

'That's my favourite song! It's about the feeling of love, in Spanish!'

'Blegh, a love song?'

'Don't 'Blegh' this masterpiece! It's in almost every romantic album!'

'Makes it even more blegh'

She looked down in disappointment, before I stood up, and held my hand out for her, the universal way of asking someone to dance.

She gently grabbed my hand and we made ourselves comfortable in the little space we had.

While I had my hands on her waist, she had her arms around my neck.

We moved on the beat of the music, with Reshes humming along with the lyrics.

We moved in sync, as if we had one mind, always knowing what the other was going to do.

As the end of the song approached, we moved closer to each other.

And with the last note, we had slowly leaded in for a kiss.

Our lips hadn't touch as we heard someone.

'Thomas!'

We both quickly looked in the direction the noise came from, to see Amanda walking to us, furious.

Shit!

I was so focused on trying to kiss Reshes, that I forgot about Amanda.

My parents would kill me if Amanda were to break up with me..

While she yelled at me for a bit, and me desperately trying to explain.

Until..

'Why were you going to kiss her!'

'I-'

'Do you like her?', Amanda said, half calm, half furious.

I needed to think of a good answer, fast.

'No..'

'What "No"!'

'No, I don't like Reshes! She's just a friend to me!', I lied, in a moment of desperation.

But Amanda didn't seem impressed.

'Really, babe, you are the only one for me, I promise!', I tried.

'Just so you know that, let's leave', Amanda said, grabbing my arm and dragging me with her.

'Could I at least talk to Reshes, please?'

She thought for a second.

'Fine, but if you pull a stunt like this ever again'

'Thank you', I said, turning around, only to see Reshes had left.

How can a girl run this fast with heels on?!

I ran after Reshes, shouting for her to listen to me, begging for her to listen.

'Reshes wait!', I yelled.

'It's not safe for you here Thomas! Go home!'

'If it's not safe for me then you should leave too!', I shouted, before getting tackled by something.

Staring back at me was a monster like suicune, growling at me from the depths of its throat.

I had already prayed for my life and pissed my pants in the 2 seconds I got, before Reshes yelled.

'Walking wake! Stop!'

Surprisingly the creature listened to her.

As I stared at her in surprise.

'W-what is..-', I said, with trembling voice.

'I'm sorry.. it's all my fault..', she said before hopping onto the pokemon, and disappearing into the woods.

I sat there, staring at the direction Reshes went, even long after she was gone.

I haven't only lost a dear friend of mine that day, but also the girl of my dreams.
