Thinking something was going on, I ran over.

'What's going on?!'

'I have a guest', she said, pointing at said guest.

'Hunny, you know pointing i-', but my voice gave up on me as I looked at Reshes.

'Hey Thomas', she shyly said, looking away from me.

All the feelings I had for her, the feelings I had tried to push away, try to date again, but my heart had always belonged to her, and the feelings all came flooding back.

'Dad?'

And with that I went in for a hug.

'I missed you'

'I missed you too'

While my daughter and future son in law left to the academy, I went home.

'Thomas?'

I looked behind me.

'Yes?'

'Could.. I join you with dinner, so you won't be alone?'

I kindly smiled at her.

'Of course'

I was staring at the spaghetti I was cooking.

'So you had a kid with Amanda'

'She was an accident, but yes'

'So.. you didn't want a kid?'

'With that witch? No absolutely not'

'Then why would you marry her?'

Those words were like a small stab in my back.

'I didn't want to marry her..'

'Then.. why did you?'

What's the point of hiding away all the pain anymore.. 

'My parents were highly abusive of me.. they forced me to date and marry her.. but I never felt anything for her'

'And because of that I could never tell the girl of my dreams that I liked her'

That left Reshes stunned, but I was too scared to look at her.

I was draining the cooked spaghetti when she continued talking.

'For how long?'

'When did we meet again? Since then I guess'

'And you never told me because of your parents?'

'At first because I wasn't sure if you liked me, and after I knew it was too late'

'Even now?'

I looked behind me, to see Reshes standing right behind me.

'Well, I'm pretty sure you've lost feelings f-', but was cut off by her lips against mine.

After she pulled away, I could taste a slight taste of cherry lip balm.

I stared at her in disbelief.

'If you can't lose your feelings, doesn't mean I can'

'I guess my heart just belongs to you,' I shyly chuckled, 'I never fell for someone anymore after you, nor before'

'So does mine belong to you'

We stared at each other, before gently going in for a kiss.

'I love you Thomas', she said, after we pulled away.

'I..,' my voice gave up on me for a second, since Amanda was the only one that I said it to in romantic way.
