Time: 1 day before "I'll prove you wrong"
Amanda and I were fighting with each other again.
I can't even remember what it was about, but probably something stupid like the food was not warm enough or I didn't wash the dishes correctly.
Her hand flew across my face.
At this point I didn't even feel pain anymore.
Pain had left my body long ago, after constant bleeding and getting hit.
It was now just a numb feeling on my body.
But as I looked at the door at the end of the hallway, only to see a pair of eyes staring back at me.
As she noticed I saw her, she closed the door.
It felt like my heart was ripped out of my body.
I didn't want her to know about our fights, my 'pain', and wanted her to live a normal life.
'How long has she known?', I asked Amanda, furious.
She followed my eyes.
'Oh her!', she said, with a devilish laugh. 'All her life?'
'I thought we wanted to give her a normal life', I said, with my blood boiling.
'Only you wanted that, so I took matters in my own hands'
After more yelling, and being told to sleep on the couch, I went into my daughters room.
'Kiddo?'
'Mhm?', I heard, while I could only see her back.
'What has mommy done to you, that you weren't allowed to tell me?'
As she kept on telling what she did, my heart broke more and more, to a point I wasn't sure how much I could still handle.
After comforting her, I went to the couch, with one of her stuffed animals she insisted I took with me, so I wouldn't be alone.
I closed my eyes, falling asleep slowly.
But for a few weeks I would have the same dream.
Alarms were blaring in the background, together with two people running.
Then the lady fell, badly hurting her ankle and no longer being able to keep going.
They could see the only exit slowly close in front of them.
'Go! Just leave me behind', she yelled.
But her husband wouldn't listen, trying to carry her with him.
The door closed right before they could get close.
The husband gently put down his wife and started banging on the door.
'Open it!', he would yell.
'But you want to close the time portal, which we worked so hard for', a voice from the other side said.
'It's too dangerous, it was a mistake to make!'
From behind them, down the hall, they could hear the aggressive Miraidon and Koraidon come closer.
The man's voice shifted from anger to fear, complete fear.
'Please! We have a son!', he shouted, with tears in his eyes.
'You should have thought of that before trying to destroy our life goal'
Then the aggressive pokemon walked into the room, growling at them.
They would stare at them with fear.
They knew they caused them to happen, for this all to happen.
Their friend miraidon and koraidon tried to fight them off, trying to help their only friends.
Only to be slammed into a wall, and on the ground.
The man ran to his wife, getting down next to her and holding her close.
'Why didn't you leave me behind?', she asked him.
'Because I can't live without you'
'But Arven..'
Turo thought back on their son, who they had promised to see tonight, when they would get back home.
He would be alone.
'I- I didn't think about him, not before it was too late', he admitted shyly.
With a growl they looked up, to see the aggressive pokemon standing over them, claws raised.
They held each other closed to them, hoping for some miracle.
I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing.
Great.. who's calling me at 1 am?
'Hello?', I said picking up the phone, doing my best to not yawn.
'Is this Thomas L/N?'
'Yes, why?'
'I'm sorry to inform you, but your parents were in a car accident, and died on the spot'
It took me a few seconds to realise that a massive smile had grown on my face.
They.. they're dead.? So.. I can divorce Amanda..
'Sir?', the voice on the other side of the phone said.
'Thank you for telling me', I said, trying to sound sad.
I hung up and immediately went outside, into my car.
