Lately it had become impossible to get a good night's sleep at the boarding house. Cassie was a night owl, basically nocturnal, she liked to stay up until the early hours of the morning and sleep for a good solid ten hours. Ever since the deed of the house was signed over to Elena — no offensive to her — it had become hectic, especially in the morning.
She walked past the library on her way to the kitchen, backtracking when she saw Stefan, Jenna, Elena and Elijah in there. "What's going on?" She asked with a yawn.
"Good morning Cassandra." Elijah said amused with her dishevelled appearance. Her hair was a mess, one leg of her pyjamas was rolled up to above her knee and mascara from the day before was smudged under her eyes.
She blinked at him in response and threw herself onto the couch. "It's too early."
Stefan checked the clock on the wall. "It's nearly the afternoon"
"Exactly, you get me Stef." Cassie mumbled.
"Jenna, If Cassie finds out you touched her crossbow..." She immediately sat up at the sound of Alaric's voice. The blonde jumped off the couch and ran into his open arms. "Hey kiddo." He pulled back from the hug and checked her over for any injuries."Are you okay? Did Klaus hurt you?"
"I'm fine." She said, hugging him tightly again. "I'm sorry I stabbed you."
"Don't be," He ruffled her head. "I'm proud of you, I didn't remember it anyways."
Stefan handed him a glass of bourbon. "So you don't remember anything that happened?"
"No." Alaric shook his head. "It's like I blacked out and woke up three days later. Katherine was there."
Cassie smiled to herself, at least she was alive. "She's under compulsion. Damon snuck her some vervain, but she can't leave until Klaus tells her she can."
Elena looked around the room noticing a missing presence. "Where is Damon?"
"I saw him go upstairs." Her aunt answered. Elena gets up and leaves.
"So what else did I do?" The previously possessed man asked.
"Bashed me against the wall, compel Dana a bunch, threatened to kill Jeremy, tried to kill Bonnie. Oh, and taught a really crappy lesson. " Cassie listed. "But that was all Niklaus, not you Ric."
