Kol Mikaelson was simply minding his business, exploring just how much his ancient home had changed throughout the millennia when he spotted the local siphoner walking around the town square with his noble older brother. He watched curiously from across the street. No words were exchanged almost as if they knew prying ears were around them. Cassie handed Elijah a piece of paper, they hugged, she kissed his check then he sped off.

Cassie walked down the street, pulling out her phone. "Hey, did you talk to Tin-tin today?"

"No, why?" Caroline questioned in response. She and Bonnie had taken Abby back to her house to deal with the transition. Cassie was going to go with them but then Elijah needed a favour before he left town and Alaric was arrested.

"You know it's his birthday right? He's having a party at the Falls. None of us, his best friends, are going."

Last year when the Salvatore's showed up and Cassie wasn't the only person who knew about the supernatural anymore, slowly but surely her friends were pulled into the mess one by one. That left Justin Jensen, they all agreed to leave him out of it, even Damon agreed to stay away.

On the other side of the call Cassie could hear shuffling and muffled words. After a few moments Carolien spoke again, "Go to the party."

"But —"

The phone was snatched out of Caroline's hand, Bonnie now speaking. "Cassie I swear to God, if you sacrifice a chance of having a normal night for once in your crazy life to watch Glee with me and Care then I will knock you out and drag you to the Falls."

Cassie weakly protested, "But I need to help Elena and Matt prove that Ric's innocent."

"Do you really want to spend time with Elena right now?" The witch pointed out. She stayed silent and Bonnie took that as a no. "Exactly. So on behalf of us, turn your phone off and get drunk."

"What if something happens?"

"Then I will send a note." Bonnie promised.

"Oh! And sign the card from all of us!" Caroline shouted in the background.

"Define all of us?"

"Me, Bon, Matt, Ty, — I guess you could put Elena on there."

Cassie rolled her eyes, "So I have to buy a gift for Justin that's from six different people?"

"Yep. Love you bye."

She shook her head as she put her phone away.  Cassie stepped in the direction of the shops, needing to buy her childhood friend a present. when a gust of wind blew by.
