When Cassandra Parker regained consciousness she immediately clutched her head in pain. She understood Klaus was angry but god did he have to use all of his supernatural strength? Now beyond the pain was confusion. What was Stefan hiding? And why did it make Klaus so angry?

Cassie peeled her eyes open and the sight in front of her made her flinch back. Inches from her face was Stefan, his eyes were open but his neck was bent in an abnormal way. Her breathing hitched as his dead eyes bored into her soul.

The blonde slowly sat up and looked around the van. It was pitch black. Cassie siphoned from the vampire. "Incendia." She chanted, a fire appearing in her hand. Oatis was asleep in the corner of the van. The coffins carrying the Mikaelson siblings stacked against the back wall lit up. From what Cassie could see there were four coffins, Kol's, Finn's and Elijah's so that left one more. But whose?

Cassie could feel the power radiating from the last coffin. The flames danced around in her hand, lighting up the coffin. She was careful not to let the fire touch the wooden coffins, the last thing she wanted to do was turn The Original family to ash. At least without a few days head start from Klaus.

As she inched closer, hypnotised by the power, Cassie reached out to touch the coffin. She had never sensed such an immense power before, it put her in a trance. She wanted that power. No. She needed the power.

However, a loud groan snapped her out of her trance. Cassie looked at her coffin for a few more seconds before turning to Stefan. "Rise and shine, Steffy." She said bitterly, holding the fire up to his face.

Stefan rubbed his sore neck, "Let me explain."

She cut him off, "You've been lying to me all summer, I'm not an idiot," Cassie scowled, "I saw you talking to Katherine yesterday." She crossed her arms, "I want the truth."

He couldn't tell her anything. He wouldn't tell her anything. Stefan kept his mouth shut.

"Nothing?" Cassie let out a disbelieving scoff. Three months ago he would tell her everything. "Stefan, what are you hiding?"

Stefan was silent for several seconds, weighing out his options. "I don't know if I can trust you." He admitted.

She laughed dryly. "Why not?" She asked, angrily. "Who am I going to tell, Rebekah? Klaus? It's been you and me this entire summer." All they had was each other.
