Avlon sat in a tree perched at the top of a hill, his eyes closed, breathing steadily. Axis sat at the base of the tree. He was much larger than before, his fur had changed to a lush and soft dark gray, something the young slumers appreciated. Avlon was now a 7 year old boy and quite handsome, something which would become more noticeable as he grew. Having dark hair, a sharp jawline as well as golden eyes, he was bound to be a heartbreaker. His bow, Windbreaker and dagger, Bloodshed never left his side during this past year and with his continual practice he has become more proficient in using them. It was to the point of being better than most who wielded these weapons at his age and older. Although seven years old Avlon has yet to attend school, though unusual, it is not uncommon for slumers such as himself. Hearing Axis howling at him, he scaled down the tree, before mounting Axis's back and racing home for lunch. While eating, his parents brought up the topic of school to him, surprised he asked what brought it up. They stated that with his father's promotion, their income increased and sending him to school was now possible. As he thought about it, his mother laughed and smiled before telling him that he had until the morrow, which was the day of registration, to decide. Thanking them he whistled Axis over as they went to a tree he affectionately called Talvin, the tree was by its lonesome on a small hill. Nearby was a shooting range and practice dummy made of straw and cloth stitched together by his mother. He drew the familiar bow windbreaker before releasing the nocked arrow with a gust of air and imposing aura, an occurrence he has now begun to sense. The arrow flew through the air without resistance, it was as if the wind had stopped blowing, like it was broken. "It seems it lives up to its name" said a voice, within a hint of pride and admiration could be heard. It was his father, he had some grays showing in his hair but they failed to deduct from his good looks. With little observation, one could see he passed them down to Avlon, features such as his hair and jawline which his mother loves.
His father was an honest man, who was well respected by the workers at the port. His father, looking at his son's annoyed expression, laughed before telling him to continue. Avlon nodded before drawing a beautiful full moon with a windbreaker, before setting off a fury of arrows that all hit their targets. His father watched with pride, as he gazed at his son go on to, practice throwing and handling his knife with skill. The sun was setting as his wife arrived at his side, whispering, "he will be great" no words being more true than these. It was a new day and Avlon woke with the sun as he was accustomed to. Entering the kitchen, he was greeted by bread and stew. As per usual he sat and nodded in greeting to his parents before gorging himself. As he ate, his mother asked him if he had decided to which he responded with an affirmative, something his parents were pleased to hear. At around 10 o'clock Avlon with a cotton bag and writing tools and set out for school. Though over the usual age for acceptance, since Avlon's father was known as an honest and agreeable man he was considered and later accepted. Ten minutes later Avlon arrived at the school, it was two stories with a respectable size, enough to house about 150 students. His father told him to speak to a man by the name of Wavner Var, of house Var. It was a house known for its scholars and some of the most famous scholars are from this house. A Lot of the schools and academies within the kingdom of Varnaxia were mastered by them, leading to their great influence. As to how Avlon's father met such a man, was not important to Avlon, as he was more interested in what this "school" was about. Upon entering he saw a middle aged man, seated at a desk to the far corner of the reception room, with high cheekbones, a noticeable jawline and sunken eyes which gave him an unsettling look. Avlon could sense the power he possessed with just a casual glance, causing him to become more respectful as he approached. "Are you Mr.Wavner Var?" "What does that have to do with you? " the man responded with a tone that was deep and refined "My name is Avlon son of Grim." Hearing my name or maybe my father's, seemed to change his mood. In a now more friendly tone, the man instructed Avlon to head down the corridor to his class for the next five years.

It was 1:00 pm, Alvon was seated in class listening to his teacher, it was his second year. "Now children I want you all to tell me what you know about the formation of Continents." Avlon looked around the class as children shouted their answers hoping to be heard by the teacher. He smiled to himself before jotting down the statements he found agreeable, he was interrupted when Borax, the only friend he made, asked "What are you doing?". Borax of House Vermont was a boy of about five feet. At six years old this was rather tall but it pailed in comparison to Avlon's height of 5'5. Borax was a friendly boy with red hair, soft babyish features and blue eyes with a fair complexion. They were similar in interest as House Vermont was a House of Archers, Slingers, Knife wielders among a few other classes. House Vermont was a house of some fame, as their main order of business was the capture of animals from the Beast Continent, something which intrested Avlon. Since they were so similar it was understandable why they became friends, though most people in class viewed Avlon as somewhat of an oddball. He was much older than them, taller and much stronger, though Avlon fell behind when it came to institutional intelligence. Sadly this was something he couldn't change as he was only able to attend now due to his family's monetary problems. Dismissed for lunch, Barax leaped up excitedly, he announced with great pleasure that he brought stew with meat, a delicacy even for prestgious Families and Houses. Alvon, a bit embarrassed from the gazes cast their, told Barax to calm himself, "You shouldn't make such a big deal out of it, you will draw attention". "It doesn't matter you're excited too aren't you?" Barax responded, lowering his tone. Avlon smiled sheepishly before nodding his head "Why are you so pumped though?, don't you eat meat all the time at home?" Barax shook his head " No, unfortunately, it takes pretty long to reach the Beast Continent, about three months. "So a six month round trip.?", "Yea" and depending on the weather it could be longer or shorter." "It doesn't help that we only know the outer region of the Best Continent so it's difficult to find animals much less kill them." Avlon took note of this mentally before sitting down to eat with Borax who revealed a fragrant stew from his bag.
After lunch, Avlon and Barax sat through another two hours of class, where they learned about the denominations of currency. According to their teacher, there were three conformed grades of money; Low Tier, used by those of low standing, slumers and Low-Income Families. Mid Tier used by Minor Houses and High-Income Families, High Tier expended by High-Income families, Major Houses and Royalty. God Tier currency is the currency belived to have been used by both Deities and Half Deities. ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
