I was sitting in my apartment looking through my camera roll on my phone. Claire had stolen it at the beginning of summer and went around taking pictures while I chased her. I scrolled through her endless selfies with me and her friends.
But then I remembered, what she had done, what she lead me to believe... I could never stand to see her or any of her friends again. She had probably stolen my camera to get me to chase her and lead me on, that she devil.
I deleted a few of the selfies that were blurry, but kept the rest. I knew I was harsh, yelling and everything, and I left 10$ for the mug I broke, but I still felt I was in love with Claire.
I heard a knock on my door, "Claire?" I asked hopefully. "Close, it's her twin brother Cal!" I saw Cal saunter in, with a photo album in hand.
"Why are you here? I thought we ran you out of town." I asked confused. Cal was... A douche. "Yo, I heard through the grape vine that ya broke up with my sis, and I wanted to tell ya ..." he took off his hat and lost his super fake gangster accent, "You're making a huge mistake. I've known Claire for my whole life, and I've never seen her like a guy like you. She's had her fair amount of crushes and flings, but what you had was real. And I know I hook up with girls from EVERY where, but it's only to find my match, like you two." he looked up at me, and he seriously looked like Claire.
I turned away, "Look, I've been scrap booking our whole lives together..." I looked back surprised. "Shut up, even Claire doesn't know about this, look at Claire with these boys," he showed me a few pictures of a smiling Claire and a boy, but it was a photo smile. Another picture, another fake smile.
Then he showed me a picture of us, when we were playing tag in the park one weekend. Claire was full on laughing, and I had her on my back in a piggy back, when she caught me. It was a real smile, and it made me smile. But I shook my self out of the dream like state.
"But... What she did was..." "I know, devious. Very Cal like I might say. But, I know you're not going to trust me, I'm Cal of course, but I think you should go to her. Win her back." I stood up had walked around, "It's too late, I ruined everything, I believed Steven and not her!" "I don't think that would matter if you confessed your everlasting love to her." he smiled.
"You know, you're actually a pretty cool guy." I smiled at him. He cleared his throat, and did his gangster accent again, "Ya know, I'm pretty tough too, so ever tell anyone what happened and I'll kill ya." he said jokingly... I think.
"I'm going after her." I said triumphantly, and hugged Cal. "But for reals, you should have a shower." Cal waved his hand in front of his nose.
