-Chapter 5: Ocean-
"Rome wasn't build in a day but it burned in one."

Keyboard sounds.
Saeran hadn't gotten up from those screens for about 2 hours. His fingers were working on the keyboard with incredible speed.
"Are you still alive or have you turned into a robot?" I called out from my seat. I've been sitting on this black sofa against the wall for the same two hours, I have no idea what he's doing and I don't think he'll even let me touch his stuff.
Again, he chose not to answer my question. We were back to our roles in the car.
I mean, I was pretty sure the big screens in front of me were worth a lot of money. Savior called this room as the 'control room' and Saeran probably ran everything from here. Some had camera recordings showing different points of the cult we were in, while others had codes. Just looking at the codes was enough to give me a headache, so I turned my head back to the camera screens.
"You know, like your leader said, if I'm going to be your assistant, we really need to learn to put up with each other." I muttered as I stood up. "I know you hate me for ruining your precious plan and causing you trouble, and believe me, our feelings are mutual-"
"Not Leader, but Savior." he corrected, without looking at me. "And it's true that you're a goddamn little troublemaker."
"Alright." I mumbled as I walked towards his chair. "You managed to come up with a sentence where you didn't threaten to kill me or stab me with the syringe. It may be a small step, but it's a step after all." A small chuckle escaped my lips. The only time I've laughed in 48 hours. This guy really knows how to get me off balance.
Again, he didn't answer. This time I was not surprised. Somehow, one way or another, we'd be able to break down these walls we put between us because we had to. I couldn't escape from here. He couldn't kill me either. Even if we hated each other, we would endure. I was working for him now.
Though... what exactly was I going to do?
"Quick question." i murmured, while standing beside his chair while he is busy writing codes on his keyboard. Long fingers, short nails painted in black. The fingers that wrapped around my wrist back in the car.. Focus Rosa..focus.
"Exactly...what are you doing here? What's my job here? What use will I be?"
Fingers on the keyboard hesitated. He slowly turns his chair towards me and takes a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket before removing his black leather jacket and throwing it on the sofa I've just been sitting on. I swallowed. I mean, he was slender but... his arms sticking out of his sleeveless red shirt had already caused sinful thoughts to form in the back of my mind.
Then my eyes fell on the tattoo on his right shoulder. An eye with a M letter and a half moon underneath. It started from his right shoulder and continued down his elbow. It was meticulously crafted. The little devil in the back of my mind started to fill my mind with scenarios where I ran my fingers directly over that tattoo and grasped his arm desperately..
I shook my head. No. I have to focus.
After lighting his cigarette, he looked up and stared at me with his mint green eyes, questioning. He closed his eyes and inhaled the smoke and blew it towards me. Demon. It's obvious how he did it to spite me. The corners of his lips curved slightly as I grimaced at the smoke hitting my face. He definitely likes messing with me.
