ACT ONE; SCENE SEVEN —
TRAITOR AMONGST USTHE WALK WASN'T particularly as thrilling as the previous one, nor was it as enjoyable. It practically consisted on silence, the sound of heavy footsteps pounding through the snow and the Beaver reminding the group at each and every given moment that the five do not want to be caught outside after nightfall.
Just as they all did prior to this voyage, every one of them began studying their surroundings, becoming more and more aware of what is, and what could be lurking around any corner. Either way, for Dolores it's far too hard to acknowledge the fact that danger could be falling at her feet right at this very second and she wouldn't even know about it yet considering the scenery has got her hooked, even the most beautiful of things are not what they appear to be in this world.
After what seemed to feel like an hour or so of walking the Beaver finally spoke up once again, making his guests aware that they have finally arrived at their destination, the home of the Beavers, "Ah, blimey! Looks like the old girl has put the kettle on. Nice cup o' Rosey Lee."
Dolores' mouth formed into an 'O' shape after admiring the beauty's of his home, it wasn't much to her surprise considering they were only Beavers, but nevertheless she thought the house was extraordinary, divine even, "Oh my, this is beautiful." she smiled staring down at the animal.
"It's lovely!" Lucy exclaimed, her eyes lighting up as soon as the residence came into sight.
"It's merely a trifle you know. Still plenty to do. Ain't quite finished it yet." the Beaver stated brushing off the compliments as if they were nothing, "It'll look the business when it is though."
Dolores giggled heading down the cliff side by side with Edmund Pevensie, "You made this?" she questioned, amazed at what such little animals could achieve in this magical world.
"Wasn't much of a bother. Us Beavers have quite the eye for creating things, can come up with all sorts of styles us lot."
All of a sudden a second Beaver appeared to be waddling their way out of the house scolding what the five presume to be her husband, "Beaver, is that you? I've been worried sick!" she screamed attempting to approach the Beaver of the opposite sex. "If I find you've been out with Badger again I-" her sentence was cut short when the humans came into sight, two sons of Adam and three daughters of Eve, Mrs Beaver falling shocked yet the adrenaline running through her blood with excitement.
The group began walking around the corner until they ended up meeting face to face with the small female, her hands finding their way up to her mouth, "Oh, well those aren't Badgers." she whispered, gaining a laugh out of Lucy.
"Oh I never thought i'd live to see this day!" she squealed, her expression quickly turning stern after taking a glare at her husband, "Look at my fur! You couldn't give me ten minutes warning?"
Mr Beaver was quick to reply, his sarcastic instincts practically forcing their way out of him, "I'd have given you a week if I thought it would've helped." The cheeky remark caused the five to have a little chuckle amongst themselves — all but Edmund.
"Well i think you look lovely." Dolores smiled, catching a glimpse of Edmund as she said it, "Hello Mrs Beaver."
"Thank you dear. Oh come inside! And we'll see if we can get you some food." she smiled, "And some civilised company." she added, the last part clearly aimed at her husband considering her focus was mainly based upon his appearance. To which Mr Beaver just stifled a laugh pointing towards the girl as she walked away as if she was some sort of idiot.
