ACT ONE; SCENE THIRTEEN —
WHAT ARE WE?"JADIS, THE QUEEN OF NARNIA!" a dwarf announced as he led the so called 'Queen' to the front of the crowd. The Narnian's making sure to cause a scene by yelling nonsense such as 'go away, Witch', 'You don't belong here.' Dolores didn't hesitate to grin as she encouraged her newly made friends to carry on with their little rants, "Empress of the Lone Islands!" the dwarf exclaimed as he continued guiding his Queen.
A sudden silence fell upon the crowd as the creatures — which seemed to be holding the chair the White Witch was situated on — came to a stop before they lowered it down to release her. She stood up proudly as if she was attempting to intimidate the great lion, however, as expected it did not work and instead she just ended up looking rather foolish. She stepped forwards slowly, making sure to lock eye contact with her once made hostage, Edmund Pevensie.
Dolores looked over towards the boy only to see his face had gone pale and his lips were parted slightly, she frowned and placed a hand on his shoulder making him flinch a little until he finally relaxed against her touch. Jadis didn't fail to glare at the Kirke girl as well before shortly turning her eyes towards Aslan himself, "You have a traitor in your midst, Aslan."
The silence consisting on the Narnian's and the Witches small clan of minions had soon turned into gasps as if they were shocked to hear this — even though all of them knew of what Edmund had stupidly done only a few days prior. The Pevensie's turned towards their brother with frowns upon seeing his sad state, though to Dolores she didn't see him with sadness as such, but more of an expression which described his newly built fear for the woman.
"His offence was not against you." Aslan explained, objecting the rather bold statement Jadis had just argued.
Her voice grew deep as if the lion's words had angered her, pushing her limits even further, "Have you forgotten the laws upon which Narnia was built?"
Aslan was quick to growl as he let out a loud roar, "Do not cite the Deep Magic to me, Witch." he scowled — seeming quite frustrated by her contradictions, "I was there when it was written."
Jadis stood, smiling to herself as if Aslan had just played into her trap, "Then you'll remember well that every traitor belongs to me." She then turned to look at Edmund once again as the sound of swords being unsheathed grew louder, "His blood is my property."
"Try and take him then." Peter dared, as he took a step in front of his younger brother — Dolores sliding her hand into Edmund's as he did so, making sure to intwine her fingers with his. She then gave it a tight squeeze and granted him a smile before stepping forwards to fall by Peter's side, making sure to block the boy from any of the Witches harsh stares, "Go on, I dare you."
The Witch let out a chuckle upon seeing the children's bravery, although to her they just looked rather silly, "Do you really think mere force will deny me my right?" she scoffed, "Little King . . . little Queen."
Peter and Dolores shared a look before she gritted her teeth, "Just try and take him, we'll kill you before you even get the chance." she challenged as the Witch took a step forward in order to have her say, "You really think so?"
"I know so." Dolores spat, her protective instincts over Edmund and the Pevensie family growing stronger.
The so called 'Queen' spoke up again, this time her voice was laced with pity as she pretended to feel bad for the poor girl, "Alright then, Dolores Kirke, Daughter of Alvinia. Peter Pevensie, Son of Adam. Don't get too full of yourselves, children, it'll only lead you to a very long, painful, suffering death. And you wouldn't want that now, would you?" she smirked, "Aslan knows that unless I have blood, as the law demands." She then spun on her heel to face the entire hoard of Narnian's, along with her very few followers just to make the moment seem more dramatic than it actually is, "All of Narnia will be overturned, and perish in fire and water."
