                                                                 Chapter Seven: Pro-Bending

"Let's go to the arena tonight and catch a couple matches?" Korra spoke while setting the newspaper down.
"No. You came to master air bending and you need a calm and quiet place." Tenzin spoke. Alessia was in thought while she took the paper from Korra and read about the Wolfbats winning their match. 'Hmm.' She thought while noticing the other two leaving. She sighed lightly while following suit. Her hearing went out while Korra was talking about how she wasn't able to air bend. Tenzin reassures her. After all, airbending was the complete opposite of her personality. They arrived in an area with what seemed to be an air bending training tool.
"This is a time honored tool that teaches the most fundamental aspect of airbending." Tenzin explained. Alessia kept her distance as she was watching the air bending master.
"The goal is to weave through and make it to the other side without touching them." Jinora explained softly to Korra.
"Hmp. Seems easy enough." Korra smirked a little.
"Jinora also forgot to explain that you have to get to the other side while they are moving." Ikki spoke up. Watching Tenzin side step and throw an air punch at the gates as they began to spin.
Tenzin had a leaf in his hand as he let it go. "The key is to be like the leaf." He explained while letting go of the leaf. Alessia raised a brow as she watched the leaf dance its way through the spinning gates. 'Oooh.' She thought and smirked at her sister.
She saw Jinora move with ease like she was one with the wind.
"Air bending is all about spiral movements. When you meet resistance, you must be able to switch direction at a moment's notice." Tenzin spoke while Alessia watched Jinora switch her movements around to avoid getting hit by the gates. The young air bender made it to the other side with ease. The girl took a breath and re-spun to the gates with ease as well.
"Let's do this." Korra spoke with confidence while running straight into the spinning gates. Alessia had facepalmed at her sister's actions. Watching the avatar getting smacked at almost every single turn.
"Be the leaf." Meelo spoke. Watching Meelo move his arms weirdly. The air bender kids were trying to encourage Korra as she was still getting smacked around. Alessia sighed and shook her head at her sister's frustration. Korra looked like she wasn't even trying. Getting smacked by gate after gate.

"Air bend!" Korra spoke while making a stance to fire air from her palms. Alessia raised her brow as there was a newspaper hanging on the clothesline. Chief Beifong was on the front page. She couldn't help but stare at the picture. The older woman had her arms crossed. She looked soo..
"What is wrong with me?" Korra sighed as she tried again. She grunted with frustration and set fire to the newspaper and the line. Alessia frowned because she was gonna keep that picture. Hearing Naga whimper a little before laying her head back down.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I'm coming to you live from the Republic City's pro bending arena, which tonight is the best in the world." The radio was heard from not far away. Alessia and Korra looked at each other with a smile before jumping on top of the guard post to listen in.
"This Mako gots moxie! He advances. Fires two quick shots!" The reporter spoke. Alessia was engrossed in the match. Listening to every detail. Her new favorite team was now the Fire Ferrets!
'Come on. Come on!' Alessia shouted in her head. Her hands were in fists with excitement.
"The Fire Ferrets line up to strike!" It was then cut off. Alessia blinked a couple times before sighing.
"Come down Korra. You too Alessia." Tenzin's voice spoke. The sisters slowly slid down off the roof as the White Lotus guards were shocked to see them.
"You shut it off at the best part!" Korra defended.
"I thought I made myself clear? No distractions!" He spoke.
"It's their radio and technically you said I couldn't watch." Korra countered.
"Shouldn't you girls be in bed by now?!" He grunted before leaving. Alessia sighed and shook her head before leaving the area.
"Goodnight." Korra's voice spoke lightly before leaving as well. He was right. They should be in bed by now. Though, she couldn't seem to sleep well anymore. She headed to bed. Thinking about the events that occurred today. Tossing and turning with a sigh. Her mind had finally drifted off as a certain pair of green eyes came into her thoughts.
