Dear Lin Beifong,

I am sorry it has been a while since I last wrote. Attached is a picture of her now. She had mastered her elements. Metal is still unknown. Her sister and her are known to get into trouble. Weird since she doesn't even talk! Also, the girls have disappeared from the South.
White Lotus, Nox

"Alessia, hurry up! My fire bending test is gonna start!" Korra's voice shouted as she shook her sister from the book she was reading. Alessia turned and glared at Korra before shrugging. She stood up and brushed the raggy clothes before following Korra outside. Hopping onto the polar bear dog called Naga before taking off to the arena. Halting into a stop and hopping off. Alessia took a seat in the stands and watched. Her sister was punching fire at the men. Three against one. She was strong. Korra was able to take them out one by one. Alessia jumped up while clapping. She was smiling brightly.
"She's strong." Katara's voice spoke softly.
"She lacks restraint." The teacher spoke. Alessia couldn't remember the names of the teachers here but she shrugged it off. Still clapping before holding her hands behind her back while listening.
"Alright! Three down, one to go!" Korra shouted with a jump. "I mean, thank you masters." She bowed respectfully. Alessia rolled her eyes with a smile. She left the stands to go and hug Korra gently as she was lifted off her feet in a tight squeeze. Alessia grunted with annoyance.
"Sorry." Korra smiled and gently patted her sister's shoulder. "I'm gonna take Naga for a walk. I'll be back." She added before leaving.

Toes pointed. Leg up high before lowering half way. Turn and turn. Alessia was smiling non stop as she took a leap before a turn. Her toes pointed. Her palms opened and fingers pointed as well. She was dancing to the movements that she remembered from long ago. Her arms were toned and long as her legs were slender but strong. Her calves had all the muscles in them. Her skin was still lighter than Korra's.
"Wow. Ten years and you still dance pretty good." Korra's voice spoke as it snapped Alessia back to reality. She smiled and waved her hand lightly. "Come on. We are leaving here." Korra spoke lightly while Alessia gave a confused look. "I can't stay here and not do anything. Tenzin came and said he won't move here!" Korra sighed with frustration before looking back to her sister. Placing a hand upon Korra's shoulder with a look that only her sister knew. "I can't do it by myself. Will you come with me?" Korra asked and Alessia beamed. Nodding her head quickly. Anything to get away from the South. Korra led the way back to their small ice home. Walking inside, Alessia went straight to her small room of a closet and quickly packed what little clothes she had and grabbed her book before heading out. Not bothering to say goodbye to her mother.

The ship creaked and moaned against the waves quietly. Alessia was passed out against Naga as Korra on the other side. Shifting and turning while curled up.

Smack!
A sharp pain shot through Alessia's cheek as it burned. Tears streamed down her face before looking down to the ground.
"You will stay silent! Do not speak unless spoken to!" Korra's father shouted at her. Alessia nodded her head. "You will mount to nothing! You are pathetic! You will lay your life down to make sure your sister is happy!" He added before another smack was felt. Alessia held her cheek before retreating to her room. Sitting down while looking out to the stars. Rubbing her cheek as hair strands fell over her face. She quickly grunted and braided her hair to the side. Like how her friend had it but on the opposite side. Sighing in frustration as she had to redo the braid several times before perfecting it. Brushing her raggy pants before curling up with a sigh. Holding her necklace. It had been years since she had seen Su and Kuvira. Closing her eyes as she pictured the two women in her mind. Taking deep breaths before falling asleep.
"I'll see you again." Alessia whispered. Speaking her last words before losing her voice.

"Hey, wake up! We are here!" Korra's voice woke Alessia up. Excitement coursed through her while bouncing on her feet. Korra and Alessia both hopped onto Naga as she raced past the crewmates.
"Thanks for the ride!" Korra shouted as they rode off down the street. Finally stepping off Naga, Alessia finally took in the sights. They were finally in Republic City! She was in awe while looking around at the tall buildings. Shops lining the streets while inhaling the air. Coughing from the smoke from a Satomobile that drove by. Korra chuckles as her sister glared.
"Look! Air Temple Island! That's where Tenzin lives. Ready for a swim girl?" Korra asked while pointing. Alessia heard a growl come from Naga's stomach and then her own. "Guess we can eat first!" Korra spoke as they arrived at a cart. "One of everything please!" She spoke. Alessia's attention was caught as she looked up. There were airships everywhere. "Come on you two." Feeling a tug on her arm as they made their way down a park. "Guess we can go fishing." Korra sat down. Alessia took a soft stance and waved her arms in a fluid motion. Catching three fishes before dumping them by Korra. Using fire, she cooked the fish. Sitting down next to her sister, Alessia took a bite. Stopping as she felt eyes upon her.
"Say... can I have one of those fishes?" A stranger spoke.
"Uh...." Korra started. Alessia beamed with a nod. She handed the stranger her fish.
"You live here?" Korra spoke as she began to eat her fish nicely.
"Yup! Welcome to Republic City! Took me a while to secure a bush this beauteous!" The man spoke proudly. A loud whistle was heard as an officer was running towards them.
"Hey! You can't fish here!" He shouted. Alessia felt her arm grabbed before running after Korra. They hoped onto Naga again before taking off.

"I think we are lost." Korra spoke as her sister nodded in agreement. "Excuse me miss, do you know the way to Air Temple Island?" Korra asked as directions were given. Hearing the screech of tires as satomobiles appeared.
"You best leave, it's dangerous in these parts!" THe lady spoke. Hearing the words exchanged before a loud crash happened. Alessia stomped and raised her arms with quick movements. Causing a small earth wall raised to shield her from the fire. Shield down, she slid her foot to the side and smirked. Giving the firebender a run for his money as she stomped earth up and round kicked each chunk at the man. She was agile and quick in her motions. Finally knocking the man out before running to find Korra.

Weewoo weewoo weewoo

The sound of police sirens as a ship can be seen. Alessia's jaw dropped. Metalbenders! They used a cable to drop from the airship. They were fluid in their motion while landing with small thuds upon the ground. She was so in awe she didn't realize Korra had grabbed her as they made a run for it.
"Ugh!" Korra shouted as she was caught and shoved Alessia off. Hitting the ground, she groaned before looking at her sister. "Go get Tenzin!" She shouted. Alessia nodded and ran towards the Island. There was no way she was going to wait for a ferry. She hopped over the rain and ran across the water. Using her bending abilities to create ice. Skiing across the water with ease.

Alessia hopped up onto the dock before crashing into a woman. Rubbing her head, she bowed.
"Hello dear. Is everything alright?" The woman asked while Alessia waved her arms in a frantic matter.
"Alessia? What are you doing here?" Tenzin's voice spoke. Alessia ran to him and grabbed his wristed and cuffed them with her fingers. "Are you saying Korra got arrested?" He asked as she nodded. He sighed. He was clearly annoyed before hopping onto a skybison. Alessia followed suit.
"Oogy! Yip yip!" Tenzin shouted as the bison jumped and flew up. She held onto the edge of the saddle. Not caring they were high in the air now.

"Lin, you're looking radiant as always!" Tenzin spoke as they entered the police department building.
"Cut the crap Tenzin! What is the Avatar doing in my city?" A woman's voice shouted. Alessia couldn't help but peek over from behind Tenzin and waved at her sister. "Who the flame-o is this?!" Alessia jumped as she looked at the woman who addressed her. All Alessia could do is bow respectfully to the woman.
"Lin, this is Alessia. "Korra's sister." Tenzin spoke.
"Al..Alessia?" Lin's voice was shocked. Alessia's eyes met Lin's.
"Sorry, she doesn't talk. Well, she used to, but then..." Korra began.
"If you would be kind enough to drop the charges against Korra, I will cover all the cost of the damages." Tenzin spoke. Lin kept her gaze on Alessia who was looking between her sister and Tenzin before feeling the goosebumps upon her arms. She looked straight at Lin. Into her eyes. Those eyes! Alessia raised a brow. Where did she see them?
"Come on girls, let's go. You're both heading back to the south." Tenzin spoke. Korra groaned. Alessia gave another bow to Lin who still didn't take her eyes off of the girl.

Lin's POV

She rubbed her temples before sighing. Picking up her clipboard before heading to the interrogation room.
"Let's see. Damages to buildings, roads, cars. You're in a whole lot of mess here young lady." Lin spoke. Hearing Korra trying to defend herself.
"I want to talk to whoever is in charge here." Korra spoke. Lin grunted with a small smirk.
"You're talking to her." She sat down on the other end of the table. The Avatar of all people was sitting across from her.
"Wait, Beifong, Lin Beifong? You're Toph's daughter!" Korra gasped.
"What of it?"
"Well, your mom and Aang were best friends."
"That's ancient history and won't help the mess you're in!" Shaking her head before hearing a knock. "What?"
"Sorry Chief but councilman Tenzin is here to see you." The guard spoke. He was stiff. He was afraid.
"Send him in." Lin sighed. Tenzin of all people as well.
"Lin, you're looking radiant as always." He spoke.
"Cut the garbage Tenzin, why is the Avatar in my city?" She snapped. Her eyes turned and spotted someone else behind him.
"Who the flame-o are you?" She asked while crossing her arms.
"Lin, this is Alessia. Korra's sister." Tenzin spoke.
"Al..Alessia?" She stuttered. She looked into the girl's eyes. It was her! Almost exactly like her picture.
"Let's go girls." Tenzon spoke before Lin turned on her heels. Heading back to her office.
"Get back to work!" She barked as the officers all jumped and scurred. Slamming the office door shut and sat down. Taking a slow deep breath. 'She's here! Finally, she's here. Is it really her?' Lin took the picture out and smiled. Holding it close to her chest. One blue eye. One green eye.It was her. Alessia. Alessia was back in Republic City. Where she belongs. Lin's heart was pounding against her chest. Of course, the Avatar was going to be a pain. Deep down, Lin was hoping that Tenzin would let the girls stay. She needed to know how Alessia was. No. She needed her.
