After Ethan took Katherine to her room in the hotel they had stayed in for the night, Ethan left and headed towards the cafe. He waited for hours but to him, the wait was worth it even though he was tired. It was dawn and Ethan waited by the side of the building secretly. He wasn't sure if Maggie would have the morning shift but he was going to wait as long as he needed to.
Ethan hated the way Katherine got into his car and cried to him about every little detail of the ordeal. Ethan hated seeing Katherine in pain and he was going to make Maggie suffer for it. Ethan needed a good feed anyway. He hadn't hunted for blood since he met Katherine. Ethan sworn to only drink blood bags but he was willing to break his new rule if it meant giving Katherine some sort of justice.
Then a figure walked slowly towards the building and Ethan stared at the figure from a distance. She had short gray hair and looked like an older version of Katherine. I gotta look at the name tag just to be sure. Ethan thought to himself and walked towards her. He then saw the name tag and grinned, happy to find his target.
"Sir, are you lost?" Maggie asked as she raised an eyebrow.
"No," Ethan answered and slowly shook his head. "In fact I am at the right place at the right time but I can't say the same for you." Ethan laughed.
"Excuse me?" Maggie responded, angry and annoyed.
"Maggie, Maggie, Maggie," Ethan replied, taunting her. "You should have known better."
"Known better?" Maggie responded, confused.
"Does Katherine ring a bell?"
"You are her friend," Maggie murmured, realizing he was confronting her. "Aren't you?"
"Ding, ding, ding!" Ethan taunted some more. "What has she won, Johnny?"
"You kids better leave me alone, I mean it!" Maggie shouted.
"Or else what?" Ethan snorted.
"Or else I will call the cops." Maggie answered.
"I don't think that will happen." Ethan said with a smirk.
Maggie then started to run away and ran for her life as she screamed, "Help me!"
"Wrong answer." Ethan responded as he vamped in front of her and vamped her against a brick wall in the alley across the street hard, causing her to scream in fear and pain. Ethan then showed his fangs and bit into her neck, draining her of her blood. At first, Maggie had whimpered and attempted to cry out but she was slowly dying and stopped screaming as Ethan was finishing her off without a hint of remorse towards her. Her blood was bitter. It tasted like booze and bourbon. Ethan didn't mind blood tasting like that when he used to feed but that kind of taste was not his favorite.
As she died in his arms, he looked at her lifeless body and threw her body over his shoulders as if she were a trashbag and threw her in the nearest trashcan he could find. He smirked down at the body in the trashcan, proud of himself.
