"Zack told us to meet him here." Ethan said as he walked into a park with Katherine in the dark night.
"At night?" Katherine gawked as he walked behind Ethan. "It is kind of creepy if you really think about it."
"Well, yeah," Ethan chuckled. "But I will protect you."
"I seriously doubt it." Katherine groaned as she rolled her eyes.
"Zack is my friend," Ethan said, letting out a soft laugh. "He would never lie to me."
"Like how you wouldn't lie to me?" Katherine sarcastically asked as Ethan stopped walking as he smelled Zack's scent, making Katherine freeze.
"I keep telling you that I am sorry." Ethan replied.
"Well, forgive me for not forgiving you." Katherine shot at him.
"You are forgiven." Ethan mumbled softly.
"Why did we stop walking?" Katherine asked in a soft whisper.
"Hey there!" Katherine and Ethan heard as a male voice shout as a tall, slender bald man approached them.
"That would be why." Ethan whispered to Katherine as he pointed at Zack.
"You must be Zack?" Katherine asked and raised an eyebrow.
"The one and only Zack." Zack answered with a cheeky smile as he gave her a small grin.
"So, you know where Noah is?" Katherine asked as she furrowed her eyebrows.
"I do and he will be here any minute now." Zack lied, still grinning at her, which made Katherine feel really uneasy.
"Thank you for helping us." Ethan thanked Zack and gave him a quick nod and small smile.
"Don't mention it," Zack sighed, turning to Ethan. "Really, do not mention it."
"I am forever grateful you took the time to find him." Katherine said, smiling at Zack.
"That is a very interesting word for you to use." Zack chuckled as he met her gaze and raised an eyebrow.
"What word?" Katherine asked and giggled.
"Forever." Zack answered. "Forever is a long time and time humans will never have."
