Chapter 3

The elevator zoomed up to the surface with a bang, two teens came out of it. MK, although a little disoriented, screamed, "We need to get out of here fast-" The boy looked to the side, "LEO!"

There on the ground is the other teen, half passed out. They were pale as a plain sheet of paper with their mouth and eyes wide open due to the shocking events. A vague image of his spirit flying away from his body.

With so little time to spare MK picked Leo up from the ground and put him in the tuk-tuk. MK ran to his seat and drove off in full speed out of the construction site.

Right after they drove off, a huge vehicle came bursting out of the ground, destroying the elevator into pieces. It was Red Son! He looked absolutely furious.

The whole chasing was chaos. The passed out Leo was pulled, dragged, and thrown around. MK was screaming all the way while holding onto Leo as they were chased by Red Son. Red Son was screaming and shouting at MK to stop running from him, his hair blazing in fire.

After a long chase, the two teens were going to fall to their death but they were saved by their friend, Mei!

As soon as Mei saved them she drove off. They arrived at Pigsy's noodle's, Mei pulled out her phone and took a selfie, "Nailed it!"

"Uhh... Mei?" Leo looked around in confusion after regaining consciousness. He looked to Mei and raised a brow, Mei grins at them, "That was a really intense game of tag, You guys look like you were having fun. I wanted to join to!"

"Last I remember was hanging on to that," Leo looked towards MK and the staff in his hand, "thing." Mei raised a brow, "Actually Leo passed out when we got out of the elevator, and also we almost died..." MK gave Mei a deadpanned look.

"We almost what?!" Leo shouted in shock, then had a thoughtful look on his face. 'Huh, dying together with MK isn't so bad.' Leo's dark thoughts took over just for a moment.

Mei chuckled, "But you didn't. So let's celebrate with a round of Monkey Mech!" She point at the arcade machine her voice upbeat. Leo crossed his arms unimpressed, he doesn't understand why they like that game so much.

"Yeah, he was trying to kill us." MK said dread washing over him as he remembered Red Son chasing them like crazy.

Mei held a too happy expression on her face and then asked for Red Son address, she looked terrifying as she smiled wide while holding her phone up that had a big red button meant to eliminate who ever makes her angry.

Leo looked at the Pigsy's Noddles and went pale as he saw Pigsy stomping his way out of the building looking way angry than normal.

"MK! LEO! Where are you, you punks?" Pigsy made his way towards the two teenagers, he pulled his phone out from his pockets and shoved it in front of them, "You mind telling me why some bozo left a zero-star review on Pigsy's Noodles?!

Leo whistled innocently, he wasn't apart of this at all. "Nope, I'm blaming MK on this. No hard feelings bro." Leo thought to himself as MK tried to explain to Pigsy what happened, stuttering.

"Woah," Pigsy turns to Mei squinting his eyes at her, "zero stars! Congrats! That's better than nothing, right?" She said with a cheery tone followed up with a grin.

"That's not how it works, Mei! And you two! I-" Pigsy turns back towards the boys and pointed at them, or where they used to be standing. "Where'd they go?" He looks around in confusion.

Pigsy and Mei turned and saw the boys running into the noodle shop. "Mr. Tang!" MK shouted while Leo followed behind him. "Don't you boys run away when I'm trying to scold you! Get back-" Pigsy was cut off when the door covering falls down.

Tang sat on his seat while peacefully drinking his noodles until both Mk and Leo popped out of no where beside him, "Mr. Tang!" This caused him to spit his soup everywhere, tang chocked and coughed while Leo pat his back.

"You ok, tang? Sorry, we just had a crazy delivery." Leo said apologetically, Tang wiped his mouth, "It's fine. Wasted the soup but it's fine." He sourly said.

MK starts to frantically searching all over the counter throwing many item while he was at it. "Remember the story you told me this morning? About the Demon Bull King? Argh, where is it? Where is it? Where is it?" He looked the counter his eyes zooming to find his book.

Leo walked towards the messy counter, how did it even get so messy? He saw MK's book under a dirty pile of bowls, "Found it." He said. MK was instantly beside him and reached his hand out for the book but was stopped by Leo.

"Careful! You might break the bowls." Leo hissed while pushing MK's hand away from it. He quickly used a small shadow portal underneath the book with the bowls and swiftly took the book and organized the bowls, so there wouldn't be any dishes breaking accidentally. He doesn't wanna get fired.

Leo gave it to MK, the boy took the book and opened it to a page where he drew DBK and showed it to tang, "The Demon Bull King, see?"

Pigsy went storming in, he looked like he was about to pounce at them with pure rage. "Argh, kid! What are you doing to my kitchen?" But unfortunately he was held back by Mei

Tang looked disinterested although a bit confused, "Yeah?" He then sips his noodles, "What about him?"

MK almost leaped at tang, "The Demon Bull King is back! The legend is real! The Monkey King's staff is removed! We have to find him! It's the only way to save everyone before the world is destr-" but was stopped when he felt arms holding his waist. He glanced behind and saw it was Leo holding him, his cheeks grew pink.

"Relax, Mk." Leo said as he slowly let go of him. "Like Leo said, relax boy. Besides, you're delusional. It's just a story."

MK shakes his head rapidly to make his small blush disappear and looked towards tang with squinted eyes, "Delusional, huh? Would you call this delusional?" MK pulled the staff from behind him, he spin it around above him and pointed it towards them.

"Wow, MK. You found a stick!" Mei said in awe. "No, it's Monkey King's staff!" MK shouted.

Leo crossed his arms. The three burst out laughing, and went to their own business. Tang slurping up his noddles while Mei tapped away in her phone. "You aren't listening!"

"Unfortunately, what MK is saying is true. DBK is out there, and sooner or later they're gonna come here to steal the staff back. We are not talking crazy here, we're talking about a Bull coming to invade the city! The only chance we have to fight back is to find monkey king and give him his staff!" Leo screamed, he felt really frustrated right now because he hasn't gotten his daily nap.

MK pat Leo on his shoulder, "It's the real deal. I'll prove it." MK said.

"Oh, yeah? How?" Pigsy says crossing his arms. Tang and Mei looking at them expectantly.

"Uh..." the staff suddenly extended itself making Pigsy jump away from it, the staff stopped above the table where tang and Mei were sitting at. Since it wasn't balanced out properly it came down on the poor table and crushing it in half.

They all stared in shock for a moment until, "Monkey King's staff! I knew it all along! The legendary weapon that only he could wield to seal away evil!" In tangs imaginations he held the staff on top of a mountain like he was the one holding it, but in reality he was using MK's hand to lift it up. "Wait a minute. Why do you have it?" He asked.

Now that the three believed the boys, they all realized they were going to get in big trouble if the staff is here and DBK is out there searching for it.

They all got on pigsys food truck, Pigsy drove to where a guy he knew lived. They then met a friendly guy, Sandy! The guy agreed to help them and soon found themselves driving through the ocean.
