Chapter 6

MK and Leo's eyes went wide at the sight of the dark simian, "T-the six eared macaque?" Leo's uttered silently.

"You kiddos stay here for a moment, I'll be borrowing "Monkey King"." Macaque said not looking directly at the teens and went straight to Wukong.

The golden primate felt embarrassment, macaque grabbed him by the ear and dragged him somewhere where the boys won't hear.

Wukong let out a whine, "Did you really have to do that in front of them? My Image is ruined..." he then let out a yelp when the hand on his right ear squeezed.

Macaque rolled his eyes, he let go of the others ear but not before giving it another squeeze of warning to send a massage, 'If you say or do something stupid I will rip one of your ears off.'

The great sage gently massaged his right ear, how can he even feel the pain? That pinch shouldn't have hurt that bad, Maybe it's macaques special ability... It is a secret that will never be known.

"Sun Wukong..." Macaque looked at Wukong with an unreadable expression, oh no, he's using full names now. But Wukong knew what he was relaying just by looking at the others eyes. The golden monkey sighed, "I know, I know. Consequences."

"You could risk the world and the lives of others if you make him your successor. Even risk the kids life too." The macaque crossed his arms. He waited for the sages answer.

Wukong nodded, his face serious. "I'll take that responsibility..."

Macaque stand there in shock. responsibility? You can't really blame him, responsibility is hard to believe coming from the Monkey king himself.

"Beside that's future me' problem. I'll deal with it, I'm good at dealing with stuff!" Wukong said, using the back scratcher to scratch his back.

'I knew it.' Macaque stared blankly at Wukong, why did he marry him again? Macaque questioned himself.

"Oh, oh! You could also have Leo as a successor, Mihou! He has the same abilities as you, Emo too!" Macaque hit Wukong upside the head, he growled at the golden primate.

Wukong laughed, ignoring the pain, while macaque looked at him unamused. The sage looked towards the kids who were happily chatting with each other.

"Ya know..." Wukong started, Macaque looked to where the kids were too. "They remind me of us."

The darker simian looked at Wukong, he was silent for a moment before sighing.

After a little bit more talking and convincing, macaque finally agreed to Wukong making Mk his successor.

Leo stood a little far away from Mk and Monkey king, since they're having a conversation.

"Hey there kid." Macaque suddenly appeared beside Leo making the poor boy jump away with a frightened squeak. "Oh, Six Eared Macaque!"

The dark simian chuckled "Just, macaque."

Leo blinked before nodding. "Right."

Awkward silence enveloped the two shadow users.

"I- uhm," Leo opened his mouth trying to say something but closed it. Macaque hummed giving an encouraging smile on his face, "Go on."

Leo let out a calm breath, "I was wondering if- I- If you could teach me shadow magic?" The boy stuttered out.

The teen looked down to the floor feeling embarrassed for stuttering in front of someone he admires since childhood.

Macaque looked at Leo with a raised brow, he had a thoughtful look on his face for a moment. "You want "me" to teach you, are you sure?"
