The Painful Goodbye Of Love

Rudraksh was sleeping while sitting beside his wife, holding her hands. Sun has risen, with new hope and happiness. His eyes jerked when he heard the opening of the door. Nurse was standing there, and he sat straight while coming out from his sleep.

"Good morning, sir."

He just nodded his head and looked at his wife who was still sleeping, making his heart sunk.

"When will she gain her consciousness??"

The nurse looked at him with pity filled eyes and said in a slow voice.

"We can't say anything sir. Her condition is the same from yesterday, and we will get to know the reason in a few hours."

He nodded his head and tightened his hold on her hand while the nurse left doing her work.

"Jaan, seeing you lying this is killing me. Please wake up, everyone is waiting for you. Don't make me wait more."

He said and kissed her forehead and sat there admiring her beauty. Her body was paler than before, and it was killing him seeing her in this condition.

"I love you."

Wiping away the tears he took out his phone hearing the notification sound. It was from Samira. The breath stops as he finishes reading the message.

The message:

Sorry...my dear friend. But your wife is going to d..die.She has only a year left to live.

His grip on her hand loosen and the phone fell from his hands. He looked at her face which was looking pale; yet beautiful. He stood from his place and his hands travelled to his chest.

His face was turning red, as he wouldn't understand anything. With shivering hands, he picked his phone and read the message again and his step back. His breathing turned heavy, and his vision got blurry looking at her face.

"No..no..no..se..can..can't..lea..leave..me..no.."

His vision got black, and he fainted while looking at her face. His eyes opened when he heard his mother calling.

"Rudraksh are you okay??"

He nodded his head as he wasn't able to say anything because of the headache.

"How did you faint??"

He looked at his friend who asked the question. Suddenly he stood from the bed and walked to Samira and asked.

"What was that message??"

Everyone was looking at him with confusion while he kept asking the question.

"Samira, I am asking something?? Why would you send that message?? Nothing is happening to her. She has to be fine; for me, for everyone. What the hell does that message mean??"

Tears streamed down his eyes, and he felt his boy getting numb remembering the message he read.

"She is going to die..."

"NOOO..."

He yelled at her making everyone jumps at their place. Everyone wasn't understanding what was going on between them.

"DON'T FUCKING SAY THAT WORD. SHE IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE. I LOVE HER, SHE CAN'T LEAVE ME..."

He shouted at the top of his lungs. Amrita and Adhiraj look at their son who was screaming in pain. His whole body was shivering badly, and tears were flowing continuously.

"Noo. she can't leave me... You are lying to me. SHE CAN'T LEAVE ME. DO YOU UNDERSTAND."

His shouting was echoing in the whole room. Everyone's heart was clutching at his condition. He fell on his knees and shouted.
