Focus.
She looked around at all the people as talk continued... she was zoning out.
Focus
A young boy walked towards the middle, why was he here, he was no bigger then a child, why did a halfling have the ring?
The ring was set down in the middle. The room became tense, everybody had there eyes on it. She saw it's golden allure, heard as it whispered to her in a language she did know yet understood.
Skaat u Izish (come to me)
Izg gadhaal lat (I promise you)
Power
TreaureLat nargzab (you want)
Her soul
Her eyes were staring at the ring as it spoke. Her throat felt dry and she forgot about everything as she stared at the ring.
So golden, so round and beautiful, such power in a beautiful ring, surely it wouldn't hurt if she just touched it. It looked smooth as silk, so pretty and right there in front of her
Just one touch, one touch wouldn't hurt anything, after all it was calling to her
Skaat u Izish
It got louder, almost commanding this time. She started to fidget with her hands as she thought of approaching it.
It was pretty, so pretty, so, so wonderful. She wanted it. She wanted it so badly
Skaat u Izish
It's voice was so intoxicating. She did not recognize it. Recognize the dialect, it was not elvish or anything. It's voice sent shivers down her spine yet it was so soothing to hear.
Its whispers, it's gold and promises. It wouldn't be wrong if she just took it and ran, she was a good thief, no one would catch her. She wanted it
She needed it, her eyes never leaving the beautiful ring. It needed to be touched, to have a master, she could be the master of the ring
She must have it
One touch
Skaat u Izish
Her precious.
She felt a warm touch on her hand, the ring stopped whispering to her and everything stopped. She looked to who took her hand, it was a man, a brown haired man with blue eyes and a chain armour on him. He didn't look like he came from the kingdoms of man, he was dressed too different. But he was. He was a man called Aragorn.
The man beside her shook his head and squeezed her hand, forcing it down.
She knew what he meant, she needed to resist it's allure. She was grateful he snapped her out of the trance
He let go of her hand then turned forward as the talk of the ring began.
The whispers still lingered in her mind though... that terrible ring was clever
"The ring must be destroyed"
"Then we shall destroy it!" *the gruff voice of the dwarf was heard as he charged at the ring and swung his axe at it. The axe shattered as the ring remained intact, not even one blemish on it's smooth golden sides
She noticed the halfling flinch, did the sound of the axe startle him? She didn't see any other reason for him to flinch.
"The ring cannot be destroyed by a mere axe" lord Elrond spoke with a sternness in his voice.
"It must be destroyed in the fires of Mordor"
There was bickering betwen an Elf, a man who goes by Boromir and the dwarf. Soon everyone had stood up.
Foxglove stared as they all argued and slowly moved closer to make out some words
It was all cut off by the sound of a hobbit
"I will take the ring!"
No one seemed to have heard until he spoke a little louder
"I'll take the ring to Mordor"
The room then fell silent as they stared at the halfling in shock. No one could argue against it, or say he couldn't take it yet it didn't feel right to burden a shireling with this.
"Though I do not know the way to Mordor"
Gandalf stood up and smiled at him "I will help you bear this burden, Frodo Baggins, as long as it's yours to bare" his smile was so infectious and warm, bringing a smile to the hobbit's face
Then the man with the brown hair and blue eyes, the one who was called Aragorn approached Frodo "by my life or death, I can protect" he then kneeled down and took his hands "you have my sword"
"And You have my bow" The blond elf added
"And my Axe!" A dwarf said and stood by the elf, giving him the stink eye
Foxglove sighed before standing up and bowing slightly "you have my loyalty Frodo"
Boromir approached "carry the fate of us all little one... If this is indeed the will of the council, then Gondor will see it done"
Another hobbit came running out, startling Gandalf and standing beside Frodo "Mr Frodo ain't going anywhere without me"
"No needed seeing how it's practically impossible to separate you two seeing how he was summoned to the secret meeting and you were not"
Two more hobbits came in "hey! We're coming too"one stated "you need people of intelligence after all on this sort of mission"
Th hobbit beside him looking at him "well that leaves you out Pippin"
Lord Elrond then looked at then "ten companions..." a smile appeared on him "so be it, you shall be the fellowship of the ring"
"Great where are we going?" Pippin asked
Foxglove started to laugh
