A few days had passed since that day at the park and Levi wondered if he should ask his uncle to drop him off. Maybe his "new friend", as Kenny put it, would be there. His uncle did say he didn't want him to end up a loner. Levi got up and walked towards his uncle's bedroom to ask his question when his uncle came out in a rush.

"Get your shoes on kid. I got some business to take care of so I'm gonna drop you off at the park on Emerald again."

"Alright then," Levi answered. He couldn't help but smile as he was tying his shoes.

Levi got in his uncle's truck, and they drove off. Once they got to the park Levi rushed to get off and his uncle stopped him. "Listen, kid, I'm not sure how long I will be gone. If it gets late, walk to that café a block away and wait for me there."

Levi nodded and walked off. He looked around the park, looking for Hange. What are the chances he will be here at the same time as him? He sighed as reality hit him and the chances could be very low.

"BOO!" A familiar voice shouted. He looked up to where the boo came from, and Hange jumped from the big toy to the ground. "Finally, you came! I have been asking my parents to bring me every day so I could play with you, but you were never here."

Levi's cheeks began to get red, and he looked away so Hange wouldn't notice. "You're saying you came here every day cause you wanted to see me? Seems like you are a bit obsessed with me Hans."

"Hahah, well I like you and you're my friend aren't you?"

"We've only hung out once before. And it was just me saving you from those bullies."

"Yeah, but you wouldn't have saved me unless you wanted to be friends or something right?"

Levi rolled his eyes. He was annoyed at how right he was. "So how old are you anyway four-eyes?"

"That's a funny nickname, I like it! I'm 8, how about you?"

"10."

"Ohh, well only two years older than me shorty!"

Levi couldn't help but give him a mean look. "What do you mean shorty, we are the same size."

"Yeah, but I'm two years younger so that makes you a shorty."

"Hmm, whatever four eyes." He said as he blushed.

"C'mon, let's go play!"

They spend a few hours playing around, mostly racing, playing with the ball, and skipping rocks by the lake to the side of the park.

"My parents are calling me over now, what time are you leaving?"

"Not sure, my uncle said he would be a while."

"Well, it's gonna get dark soon, what if he doesn't come back by then?"

"He told me to go to the café a block away."

"Seems kind of dangerous to let a 10-year-old go to a café alone. Why don't you come over to my house? We can keep playing there and your uncle can pick you up from there instead of a café."

"I don't know if my uncle wants to pick me up from a stranger's house."

"Stanger?! We aren't strangers! We are friends! I'll go ask my mom about it; I'll be right back."

"No, wait, Hans!" But before he knew it Hange was already asking for permission to invite Levi over. He just saw Hange give an excited expression are run back to him.

"My mom said you can come. Just give her your uncle's phone number and she will send him our address so he can pick you up later."

"Ohh... okay" he said as he followed his friend. Levi sat quietly in the car. He wasn't one to talk much but Hange's mother broke the silence.
