A day passed and Levi called and messaged Hange. She wasn't responding so he would leave her short voicemails that he needed to speak with her, but she never called him back.

Hange's heart couldn't handle how he would explain why he was with Petra, so she decided she didn't want to hear it. Hange decided she would agree to officially date Zeke. She was tired of this game, her heart was exhausted from this feeling.

Hange talked to Nanaba and let her know about her intentions with Zeke.

"I see, are you going to talk to Levi?"

"For what, he clearly knows who he wants. And it's none of my business. Plus, Zeke's been patient about us having sex. Maybe not as much as I wanted him to be he's still waiting around for me."

Nanaba just let out a sigh. "I think you should still talk to him. At least to get past this. You two have been best friends since you were kids. Don't let things get weird because of this. He's been wanting to talk to you. Miche says he didn't go to any of his classes and he's just held up in his room."

"You're right. I shouldn't let our friendship get awkward over this. I'll talk to him."

Later that day Hange went over to their dorm. Miche was in the common area and greeted Hange with a hug. "Hey Hans, you okay?"

"Well, not really. Is Levi here?"

"In his room like he has been since yesterday."

Hange walked to his door and knocked.

"Go away." Was all that was said from inside the room.

Hange turned the nob and entered the room despite his answer.

"Did you not hear me say go away?" Levi said as he removed the pillow from his face and looked at the person who entered the room.

"And here I thought you wanted to talk to me." She said softly.

"Hange?!" he said as he quickly got out of bed. He looked terrible. A bit sick even as if he had not eaten.

"You don't look well shorty." She said as she walked up to him and placed a hand on his forehead. "You don't have a fever. Have you been eating?"

"Hange." He said again, he grabbed her face in his hands like he had done many times before. Hange tried not to look into his beautiful grey eyes. He lifted her chin and it was too late; she looked at him and saw sadness in his eyes. A look she had never seen in his eyes as he looked at her. "Please, let me explain to you." He said as he rested his forehead against hers.

"It's okay, you don't need to Levi. It's none of my business who you bring back to your room. I'm sorry if I made you feel like it was or if I made you feel like you can't."

"I didn't want her in my room. I just... I don't know what I was thinking. I was upset. I needed to feel something. I'm not interested in her."

"You're not?"

"No. It was a stupid mistake. It'll never happen again."

Hange couldn't help but feel a bit happy to hear that. "Why were you upset?"

"It doesn't matter anymore. It's probably none of my business too."

"Tell me." She held his hand and gave him a light squeeze. "Please."

"I ran into your boyfriend. He said something and I got angry. I felt like I needed to do something to get my mind off it."

"Was it about me? If it was I want to know what he said."

Levi was hesitant to tell her. But what if what Zeke said was a lie. He was too curious to not tell her. "He implied that you were spending the night with him."

"Ohh. Well, I didn't. I've never spent any of my nights with Zeke. I've never spent any of my days with him like that either. He probably just said that to get a reaction out of you."

"Well, he did. A stupid one I might add."

"Don't take anything he says seriously. He doesn't really like you because of how close we are. I can tell he gets bothered by how comfortable I am with you and how much I talk about you."

"Regardless I shouldn't have done what I did. I'm sorry."

"You didn't exactly do anything to me."

"I hurt you. I could tell by the look you had in your eyes. I've hurt you before too. I'm never straightforward with how I feel. I treat you like I want you to be mine one day and the next day I just hide my feelings. Like the night of my birthday."

"You... You remember that night?"

"I remember every part of it. I remember what a good time I had with you that day. I remember how I wanted to make you mine that night. I remember how beautiful you looked when you blushed as I massaged your breasts. I remember the noises you made, the way you made me feel. All of it."

Hange's cheeks were turning bright red. She didn't know what to say. "Why did you pretend you didn't then?"

"A part of me felt like I took advantage of you. We were both high. I guess I thought you wouldn't want it if not for your state. So I pretended not to remember."

"I wish you didn't. I did want to you know. To give myself to you. That is the gift I wanted to give you. I've been... nervous about who I'll lose my virginity to. The thought of it was a bit scary to me. But when I thought of you it didn't seem scary. You always make me feel safe. I felt like it was something I could only do with you. It was something I only wanted to do with you."

"But you don't anymore?"

"What?"

"You said 'was', so not anymore?"

"Ohh I don't know. Zeke's been waiting around for me. I keep pushing it off but... I had planned to go over there Friday night."

"Don't," he said immediately.

She looked at him with shock in her eyes. She didn't expect him to be so straightforward, "What?"

"Please. Don't. Don't go with him."

"Why?" she asked. She knew why, but she wanted to hear it from him.

"Because I love you. I've been in love with you for as long as I can remember. I waited around. I sat back and watched you go out with Zeke time and time again. I let another man mistreat you. I won't make the same mistake again. Not ever again. I love you Hans so please... don't go with him. You know I love you, you know I would do anything for you. I've made mistakes, and I know I don't deserve you, but if you just give me another chance to prove myself, you'll see how big my love is for you. Because to me this won't just be a simple relationship. To me, this will be everything. This will be the beginning of the rest of our lives. It will be the time our love grows and blossoms into marriage. It will be the years we spend making memories we'll one day tell our children. It will be what drives me to wake up every morning and make you smile."

Hange had tears running down her face. She felt like she was in a dream she never wanted to wake up from. She loved this man so much, and it meant the world to her to know he felt the same. She tried to speak through her tears, "Levi... I... I Love you too. I want that too. To be with you. To have a future with you."

He kissed her. Softly at first but the kisses become more passionate as their hunger for each other love starts to finally show.

Levi stops their kiss and wraps his arms around her. "Let me take you somewhere special Friday, somewhere romantic. Somewhere I can prove my love for you."

Hange smiled at him. "Okay," she says as she kisses him one more time.
