"What?!" Hange screamed. "Oh my gosh! Miche!" Her eyes were watery as she ran to hug her friend. "I'm so happy for you guys!"

"I haven't asked her Hans. She still needs to say yes before you can be happy for us."

"Trust me, she'll say yes!"

"I hope so. I'm terrified. I keep thinking about what I'll do if she says no. Anyway, I need your help planning how to ask her."

"How about the beach? It's not far and it's romantic when the sun is setting," Levi suggested.

"The beach? Yeah... that could work!" Miche said. They spend the rest of their time at the café getting into the details. Finally the day before the new year started, Miche took Nanaba to the beach and proposed. Of course, she said yes. They planned to get married after the school year ended so they could have almost a year to plan it. As everyone was busy with school, work, and wedding planning, the last year flew by. There was so much going on that it didn't exactly feel like school for those still at Sina but as if they were working. Their senior projects felt like work projects they were getting graded on. This was a great way to set them up for their new jobs.

Months later

The school year ended and the remainder of the group finally graduated. Levi and Erwin were so happy to see their friends walk across the stage and receive their diplomas. When Levi saw Hange go up his heart felt so warm. He couldn't be prouder of her, graduating as valedictorian. She was the most amazing woman on the planet through his eyes. After their graduation, they all started their new jobs.

Nanaba and Miche's wedding date was approaching. It was going to take place in Washington where Nanaba's family lived at a venue called Kelley Farm. A lot of Miche's family flew in to attend the wedding. Hange and Levi were part of the wedding party along with the rest of their friend group. They truly had made a bond over the last four years.

The ceremony began and Nanaba's father walked her down the aisle. Miche looked like a man in love watching as his bride made her way to him. The ceremony was beautiful and they made their way to the reception area. They had dinner, danced, made toast, and sent the newlyweds off. It was a memorable night for everyone.

Hange and Levi were staying at her parent's house. The drive was about an hour back and Hange fell asleep leaning her head on Levi. Hange's mom looked back at them and smiled at Levi. "You know the night before we dropped you kids off I told Hange I had my money on you to win her heart."

Levi smiled at the woman and kissed Hange's forehead. "I'm glad you had it right."

"Are you two going to be next Levi?" Hange's dad asked playfully.

"I can only hope."

"You know you have our blessing right?" Mr. Zoe asked.

"Thank you, Adam. Not just for your blessing, but for letting me be a part of your daughter's life. She means everything to me."

They got home and Levi carried Hange inside. She woke up as he set her down on the bed.

"We're home already?" She asked in a sleepy tone.

"Yeah, you were asleep most of the ride back. Why don't you change into something more comfortable." He suggested.

The next morning Hange woke up and to her surprised everyone else was already up and downstairs. Her mom made breakfast for them and she joined her family at the table.

"Hange I was thinking we could spend the day together since you two are leaving tomorrow." Her mother said.

"Yeah, I'd love that! Where should we go? "

"I was thinking we could do some shopping and go out for lunch."

"Sounds like fun! I'll start getting ready after breakfast."

They ate a delicious breakfast and Hange a her mom left around 10 a.m. They went shopping, had a small lunch, and got a Mani and Pedi. Hange enjoyed spending the day with her mom. She missed her so much and was glad it could just be the two of them.

When they got back in the evening. Levi was waiting outside to meet Hange. He had small flowers in his hand. Hange got out and walked up to him to receive the flowers.

"What's this?" she asked.

"Just felt like getting you some flowers four eyes."

She kissed him on the lips and blushed. "I love you Shorty."

"I love you too Hans. I know you just got some but I thought we could take a walk at the park?"

"Sure, let me just put my stuff in my room so I don't forget to pack it."

"Don't worry, I'll take it up, honey." Her mom interjected.

"Okay, thanks, mom! I had fun with you today."

"Me too baby. Go on and enjoy your walk." She said as she walked into her house.

Levi drove them to the park and they walked along the sidewalk. It was the park they would go to as kids. It had gotten nicer as time went on. The best thing about the park was the lake with a bench by it. They used to sometimes just sit there and skip rocks. They continued to walk and Levi began to bring up some old memories.

"Remember that summer you, me, and Nanaba snuck out and rode our bikes here to watch the fireworks from the roof of the big toy?"

Hange laughed, "Yeah, I almost slipped off but you grabbed me. That was such a fun night. How about the time some kid pants me for wearing baggy pants and you threw him in the lake!"

"Yeah well, the punk had it coming for messing with you."

As they continued walking they reached a familiar path. There were string fairy lights hanging from the trees illuminating the path.

"You know what I remember the most from our childhood?" he asked. Hange looked down and noticed there were rose pedals on the ground leading to a spot that had rose pedals spread out in the shape of a heart. "The day I met you," he continued as they stopped at the spot in front of the heart. "I remember that day like it was yesterday. You wearing your hair down and messy, wearing some baggy pants with your shirt tucked in."

Hange's eyes began to water. Her heart was pounding fast as he held her hands and kissed them. "I remember feeling strange the first time I held your hand. It was when I helped you off the ground. I remember being confused about the feeling I felt in my chest, in my heart. I remember thinking I wanted to be with you and feel that warm feeling for as long as I could. And now that I  am, I never want to let go." He held her face in his hands and a tear escaped her eyes. He wiped it with his thumb and kissed her on the lips. He let go of her hand and began to get on one knee. His hands began to shake as he opened a small box and presented a ring to her. "Hange Zoe, this is where I fell in love with you 14 years ago and now this is where I ask you to marry me, to be my wife, the future mother of my children, and my partner forever. Will you?"

"Yes! Levi Yes! I'll marry you! A thousand times yes!" She says as she accepts the ring and kisses him passionately. She begins to cry with happiness. She feels so in love and full of joy. She had dreamed about this day for a long time. She'd finally marry the love of her life and spend the rest of her life with him.
