We stayed silent with his sharp eyes still staring at me and I just stares at the wall besides me while fidgeting my fingers. He released a heavy sigh before he lay his back against the chair and crossed his arms.
His heavy sigh made me jolt in surprise as I glance at him. "Because of that stupid news, now my girlfriend thought I've been cheating on her for two years."
I straightened my back and raised my eyebrows. "You have a girlfriend?"
He glares at me. "Of course I did. What annoyed me the most is that I can't even tell her that these are all fake."
I rub my hands, hesitant to throw out the question. But after a moment, I decided to just ask him. "Can I ask, who is your girlfriend? Is she well-known?"
Jake stares at me before he lean his body to the table, a smirk on his face. "She is more well-known than you, that's for sure. It's Ruby Hwang."
I widen my eyes and cough. "Ruby Hwang? The popular model Ruby Hwang?"
"Even an unknown like you knows her." He look at me boredly while raising his right eyebrow.
I resisted myself to roll my eyes at him. He's so annoying.
"Why didn't both of you announced the relationship to the public? If they know that you have a girlfriend, then maybe might as well use your relationship to cover the scandal." I frowned since I am very much annoyed that I also got pulled into this mess.
"I don't want to make her uncomfortable. We can't date peacefully that way, the paparazzi will always follow us and we'll get surrounded by the public. Since she's a popular model and I'm a son of the most influential family, for sure we're going to get crowded by those people." He clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes.
"And everything happened so fast, the next thing I knew there's an article about you and me dating, with a picture that we 'oh-so-making out' suddenly spread all over the place. If I know this is going to happen, I'd announced my relationship with her already."
I want to throw up when he said that we 'making out'. He could just say kissing or just not mention about it at all.
"I also planned to marry her next year but thanks to you, my three years relationship with her is ruined."
I widen my eyes. "Excuse you? I'm also a victim here. Do you think I want all of this too?"
"Well, you received a lot of drama offer because of me right. Isn't that's what an unknown actress wants the most?"
I can feel my blood boiled in anger. Who cares if he's the son of the top company in South Korea? I won't let him look down on me just like that. "I want to be recognized with my own talent and worth, not to be knows as Jake Shim's 'girlfriend'. Being your girlfriend has never even apart of my dream and it's not even worth it."
