30 minutes earlier...
"So... What do you want to say to me?" Ruby leaned her back against the wall when he brought her to the empty hallway.
Jake stands in front of her, eyes looking at her with a mix of guilt, regret, and sorrowful expressions. "I want to say sorry... for everything."
"I told you, I forgave you already."
"No you don't."
"I..." Ruby was speechless. Jake is right. How could she just easily forgive him after all those years?
"Ruby..." He called her name carefully, trying not to break her. She stares at the floor, didn't dare to look at his eyes. "This is not what you think it is, everything that happened right now, all of that has a reason."
"And what was the reason, then?" Ruby snapped back, eyes looking at him with rage. Jake can saw tears filling up the brim of her eyes.
"I... can't tell you, I'm sorry."
She scoffed, a sarcastic laugh escape her lips. "See, Jake? If you really love me then you would at least explain everything to me. You made me look stupid and pitiful for leaving me like this." She pointed her finger at him, eyebrows furrowed. "But you don't love me, Jake. That's why you cheated on me."
Jake look at her bewildered. "No, Ruby. I never cheated on you. All of these are just a misunderstanding."
"Misunderstanding? So you're saying that I misunderstood you and you're blaming it on me now?"
"No, I'm not-"
"Quit it, Jake. We're done, we're over." Ruby was about to walk away but Jake quickly grab her wrist, making her turn her head in surprised.
"Please, Ruby. Just wait for me for two months, then we can be together again like before..."
She raised one of her eyebrow. "What do you mean by that?"
"Everything is fake, this marriage is fake. Me and Yeonwoo accidentally got caught in camera and the angle made it look like we were kissing, when in fact we are not. I didn't know her existence, not until that night. We were forced to married each other to cover up a news that the son of Kim's corporation killed a pregnant lady and her daughter because he missed the red light. We were supposed to married for three months to cover up the news." Jake didn't realize that he explained everything to Ruby as he's very desperate to keep her from leaving him. But when he realized, he widen his eyes as he shuts his mouth tightly.
