"Alright, everyone!" Shouted Coach Verna. Her black and gold boots clanked on the rock she stood on. "This obstacle course is worth 25 percent of your grade this quarter! The rules are simple. Don't get to the end after eight minutes!" She waved into the air, and transported Luna, Silhouette, and Leafy's class onto a ledge, overlooking a valley below them. She pointed down the slope and shouted, "Begin!"
Leafy flew up and started gliding towards the valley. Silhouette landed on Luna's back and she took off, running down the slope towards the pit. "Look out behind you!" Silhouette screeched, her ears somehow picking it up before Luna. Luna heard the rumbling sound and, following Silhouette's suggestion, looked behind her and saw the logs rolling at a relatively quick speed.
"Hold on tight, Sil!" Luna exclaimed. She jumped and let the log roll underneath her, carefully dodging the rolling threats. Most of them crashed into a pit at the bottom of the valley, and a few of the logs had students under them or or on top of them, desperately attempting to maintain balance. Luna slowed her pace to avoid tumbling into the pit, which would was a workout in itself to get out of. Reaching the pit, Luna came to a halt as she came face to face with Cherry.
Cherry narrowed her eyes, but glanced at Leafy and said, "Catch ya in eight minutes!" before bounding across the pinnacles. For some reason she'd changed her mind about something. Luna followed quickly after, and Leafy landed on her back to rest her wings. Silhouette jumped off and ran alongside Luna. They reached a section where there was a large gap with a ladder hanging off the side, which Leafy flew up for the group to run across. Luna stopped at a balance beam section, where Cherry was slowly walking across. Silhouette closed her eyes, and the balance beam stretched to a slimmer but wider plank.
The trio raced across the plank, pushing aside a startled Cherry. Silhouette made sure to undo her spell on the plank when they reached the other side. They entered a dark cavern, with several different paths. "I've got this," Leafy said, before flying into each one. She flew back to Luna and Silhouette, calling out, "This way, come on!" Her eyes glowing in the dark, she lit the dim path and the trio raced into the open sky.
