Sitting in the park on a summer night eating noodles and listening to music was exactly what I needed after being cooped up in the studio the entire day. I looked at my sketchbook and groaned before closing it and laying back on the soft grass.
The stars seemed to glisten along to the music, I closed my eyes and took a deep breath of summer air. I needed this, I wish I could always have this peace. Forcing myself to sit up, I opened my book again and looked around for... inspiration?
Couples passed by, holding hands and smiling at one another, I watched high schoolers run around chasing each other. A sigh escaped my lips, I miss that, that carefree state of mind...
I kept looking around and that's when I saw them... when I saw HIM. I did a double-take to make sure he was real and not a divine being.
His slightly upturned eyes practically closed as he laughed at something one of his friends said, his smile was- heart-wrenching. I didn't realize I was staring until he looked at me and raised his eyebrows, still smiling. I looked away, a faint tingling sensation in my ears. 'I need to leave' I thought to myself feeling half flustered and half embarrassed.
I grabbed my pencils and stuffed them in my bag along with my book before sneaking one last glance at the tall, honey-skinned boy who was now focused on what seemed like a very intense game of soccer.
Turning up my music I pulled my hoodie over my head and walked in the direction of the group of loud boys to head back to my apartment.
I assume he saw me coming his way because as I got closer, the ball came hurling in my direction and hit my head at a terminal speed of a million miles an hour! As if I wasn't embarrassed enough after getting caught staring, I fell!
"Are you okay?" The tall guy stared down at me, clearly trying to suppress a laugh.
I couldn't hold it in and laughed "Ouch! Gosh mahn what did I ever do to you?" I rubbed my head and started getting up.
"Woah woah woah, careful, you might have a concussion" he had a mischievous smirk plastered on his flawless face.
"It was a ball, not a brick. I'm fine" I stood up (a little too quickly) and stumbled a little.
"See you're dizzy... it could be from the ball" he offered me his hand to steady myself.
"I'm fine" I looked up at the giant in front of me.
"So you're saying..." his high cheekbones more prominent now that he was smiling down at me "my unreal handsomeness made you a little dizzy?" I rolled my eyes, heart racing at his deep voice.
"You're getting ahead of yourself" I rolled my eyes.
"Girl, stop lying, I saw you staring at me earlier" My heart stopped, and I looked down.
"I wasn't staring, I was- observing?" I avoided eye contact.
"Gyu! Quit flirting and pass the ball" one of his friends shouted. I glared at him, earning a cute laugh from Gyu. Is his name beomgyu? In-gyu?
"Observing huh?" He bent down to be closer to my height "Do you make a habit of observing strangers in the park?" He questioned ignoring his friends.
"Yes- no- don't let your already big head grow more, I'm an art student I was looking at everyone, trying to draw inspiration from somewhere. Now if you'll excuse me" I hadn't realised I was still holding his hand until I tried to leave.
"So I'm your muse?" He looked amused.
"Definitely not" I freed myself from his grip and walked away, cheeks burning, heart pounding.
He ran behind me "Don't go, I'll be done here in like ten minutes. I'll walk you home".
"That's borderline stalkery. You could be an axe murderer" I kept my eyes fixed forward so I wouldn't accept his offer.
Ask his name you idiot, the voice in my head yelled he's so hot, let him walk you home!! I shook the thought.
"I don't even know your name"
He smiled "It's gyu, Mingyu".
God even his name is hot! "Well, Gyu, Mingyu... this was... interesting but I'm gonna go now." I gave a small smile before picking up my pace.
"Wait, what's your name stalker?" He yelled, all his friends staring.
"You don't need to know" I called back. The ball came flying in my direction but this time I was ready for it.
Catching the ball made the boys clap "Nice!" One of them shouted making me smile.
"Please?" He shouted.
I juggled the ball to impress them a bit before kicking it back. "Hwa, Hwa-young" I turned and ran off.
Welp... that's that... first chapter out... time for bed... can you imagine Mingyu staring down at you? I'd die.
P.S. I know it's not great but this is just for fun...
Hope you enjoy my silliness, Don't forget to comment and vote <3
