10.Mingyu

I had so many questions. Who was the inspiration for this? Can it still be bought? Who hurt her? Did she love him? But I chose to stay silent. I looked at the sculpture, it almost looked like her, the 'blood' leading to the suspended hand was done so beautifully.

"It's an amazing piece" I broke the silence, "I'm sure my mum would still buy it" I laughed nudging her.

"Don't you have exams soon? Mr. Law student?" She looked at me. "You shouldn't be wasting time with me" her voice trailed off as she looked at the sculpture again, I need to know the story behind it but how do I ask?

"I do, I'm not wasting my time" I rolled my eyes "Spending time with you is keeping me sane"

She smiled.

"Well you need to be studying" she took my hand to lead me out, "I need a lawyer in my life, to get me out of... situations"

We walked back "So you're a criminal," I asked still holding her hand.

"Yessir, stealing hearts and occasionally art supplies from classmates" she laughed.

"Wow that's bad, I'm not sure I can help if you get caught" I played along.

"Well if you don't study, you won't be able to help me" She led me out of the basement

We were back in the art studio, "Cina, I'm taking this dummy back to the law campus, I'll be back".

A light bulb went on in my head. I need Cina s number. I loved having people look at Hwa and me as we walked to my faculty, maybe now, they'd stop trying to set me up.

"So this is where the smart kids go? Nice..." She looked around obviously uneasy.

"Book smart... Maybe, but they're a bunch of idiots if you ask me" I wanted to put my arm around her, claim her as mine but I couldn't do that... yet.

"Welp... this is my stop" she looked at me. "Thanks for coming to visit the studio and for talking back to the devil woman" She left me standing there.

After searching I finally got Cina's number, man that girl dated almost every guy on campus.

Me: Hello, this is Mingyu, I wanted to ask if I could speak to you a little later.
Cina: wassup? I'm free now, you can meet me at the coffee place at main.

I immediately got up to meet her, was I being desperate? Yes. Did I care? No.

"So what do you want?" Cina snapped, obviously, someone was having a bad day.

"I have a question about Hwa... Hwa-young?"

Why did I repeat her name?

"What's your deal with her anyway? You better not hurt my flower or I'll crush you" She rolled her eyes and checked her watch

Hurt your- girl relax, I counted to three in my head before responding. "There's a sculpture she showed me, the girl with the heart and stuff... does it have something to do with her?"

Cina's expression softened, "I don't think that's my story to tell" she finally looked at me, "but Hwa doesn't like talking about it"

SO JUST TELL ME!

"Please, I need to know before I-" I stopped myself.

"Before you what? Ask her out?" The girls eyes widened so much I thought her blue contacts might fall out.

"Maybe" I looked down.

"Fine, all I can tell you is Hwa doesn't date. Not anymore. And that sculpture is part of the reason" I could hear the crack in her friends' voice, she obviously cared about Hwa a lot.

"So I shouldn't ask her out?" I grinned looking at Cina.

"So you're going to ask her out!? You're actually thinking about it!?" She slapped my arm.

"I was, but if she won't say yes-" I was leading Cina on, I needed to know what happened.

"You're the first guy she's let get close to her since Hoshi- wait I know what you're doing and it won't work. If you want to know what happened, ask Hwa." She picked up her bag. "But... I know she likes you. You've got her smiling like a girl in love. Like I said... I ship it." With that, Cina left.

The way I'm thinking I should stop writing lool.
